I never was... I was asking for a good argument to purchase the GT350R Vs a GT350 considering what you don't get in the GT350R in response to another post... this thread then went sideways from there.

In fact if you don't want Carbon fronts and the "R" really doesn't come with Carbon fronts.... my point is more valid because that's $7k in brakes I won't need to invest in to Match the spec of a GT350R.

I don't need to pay extra to remove things myself in my own shop.
Oh, you're done talking brakes now?

No...I'm saying... If it comes with Carbons then it will be more inline with what the Draft Ordering guide is presenting as the "R" package.

If it comes your way.... more reason to question the value of that purchase.

I'm not accustomed to saying to anyone....here take more of my money and give me less in return for it.

Its not that I'm done talking brakes my friend....

You're hung up on them for what ever reason based on pre production models.

People who opt for the R are getting what they want and it is not less for there money. Carbon Fiber wheels can be about 15k per set. Carbon fiber brakes can be almost 10k more. They will also be getting a more limited production car and additional exclusivity. People who go for the R most likely will be collectors or serious track people so they won't miss the AC,carpet, camera tire inflator etc... I am not a track guy so I am going for the GT350 with the Tech package. It will not be my daily driver but I will not make it a museum piece either.

I am leaning toward Avalanche or Magnetic with black stripes and the black roof. My 2005 is really showing its age.

I'm torn between triple Yellow and Avalanche. Blacked out roof and no Stripes.

But....

Then if that Liquid Blue option becomes available....

I'm there.

Perhaps, you should wait until pricing is actually released to talk about value. You act as if your opinion of value is the only valid one as if value wasn't subjective.

Its not subjective....its speculative.

Subjective would be based on the known.

We've been talking in the realm of "What if".

Still based on logical perspectives.

I'm hung up on them based on 2 pre-production cars and 1 press release while you're hung up on them from a single draft order guide.

Now, value isn't subjective? Everyone must share the same definition of value? Let me guess, it's yours.

No I'm speculating the value based on projections from what we do know. Which BTW...giving you the benefit of your point of view several times. If I were hung up on it...I would simply say you are wrong. In fact...you may wind up getting your wish.

But based on an ordering guide .... the discussion with a salesman would be inclusive of Carbon when getting the "R" trim level. Ya follow?

No we all know they are not.... which is why they would check off the options on the same ordering guide we would see.

We don't walk around a pre production car on the selling floor pointing and saying I want this and that and some of this.

You sit and view the available options for your desired model and trim level from ...get this...

An Ordering guide.

See how that works?

Hah. Not really. Its just the only thing that can be discussed with a salesperson ... like mine would be based on what is listed there. Because if this Draft is the prelude to what is the final draft.... the only tangible becomes what you can or can't have based on that. Not a pre production, not a prototype, not an image, not a press release.

Only an ordering guide that lists what options are specific to that car. I even stated that guide could very well change. SO you could still get your wish.

I am however hung up on Options Vs Value. Like most educated consumers are. Which is in the realm of sanity.

However sanity is often in contention with the American custom of having instant gratification.

I'll take the odds on 2 pre-production cars and 1 press release over 1 DRAFT order guide. Just sayin'.

Regarding sanity...
