Hi all, I have a deposit down on an Avalanche gray GT350 ~11k miles on the car. It has some bumper sag from a video I got from the owner. Is this something I can fix by taking the rear light out, and placing two screws into the black plastic underneath? Seems like a crude fix, but I’m seeing positive reports from doing so.

I've literally fixed this on one of my s550s before by just pushing hard on the thing in the direction you wanna go, lol

37,000 miles (and the BiRds from ArcheType) and going strong. Works like a champ. Zero regrets.

I used a floor jack to hold the bumper/skin back firmly in place and then drove the screws in at such an angle it pulled upwards on the skin once tight.

Great! Your post was what inspired my thoughts on doing it. Probably be one of the first “mods” I’ll do to the car. Unfortunately white/avalanche show this Ford defect really easily. Glad to hear it is holding up well.

Those two screws on the outside don’t show when you place the rear light back in I’d assume?

Galaxy’s tech screws work well. The one thing I would add(literally did this in my shop for decades with bumper covers) is use either the inexpensive speaker screw clips that come with every set or the better oem style on the back side. It will never move if its done this way. You can actually clamp it to tight with this method if your not carefull.

Love my AR Birds as well - didn’t want any screws so just decided to stop it from getting worse by installing the Birds and living with what I have (not much at 1800 miles). Good luck and congrats on the car, looks incredible in that color and you’re gonna love this beast! Special car…

This is pretty common fit and finish across the Mustang line. It's amazing how consistent body and paint defects are. At least they're consistent!

I saw a comment a while back that stated “If the rear bumper is perfectly aligned you can assume it was in an accident and fixed better than OEM” 😂

May want to do some forum searches on Archetype before you commit to placing that order.....

No worries, I’m following what Galaxy has done and not buying any kits. No need to over-complicate.

He's talking about ArcheType having some business drama (as in dissapeared) because they make the BiRds that people are talking about. Not really a bumper sag fix/kit per se, but they do help with it. Sad too, cause it's an awesome product. Maybe someone else will run with the design.
