Is it just me, or do you sink down quite a bit when you sit in the seat? I sit in the passenger seat occasionally just to compare every now and then and it is so much stiffer being new and unused. I am finding that I am sinking down in my driver seat and my back is resting against the stitching on the seat back and it digs into me. I feel like if I had an inch more of foam on the seat bottom I wouldn't have this. Does anyone who knows upholstery know what kind of foam I might be able to put in under the section I sit on to make it a little stiffer for more support? I realize I would have to cut holes/slots in it for air flow. I am at my wit's end with these seats.

Yeah the seat pleather isn't the highest quality.

My seats in my FX35 looks better than my mustang.

FX35 - 125000 miles
Mustang - 7000 miles

I have given up on the looks of the driver seat. Love the look of the passenger seat though.

I am more disappointed in the overly plush quality of the seat. Zero support. Do you feel the stitching against your lower back? It's the lowest stitch line on the seat back that digs into me. It's so much worse with a belt.

Our '18's drivers set is fine, but at only 1200 miles I'm guessing you must have more time in the seat than I. And yes, a good upholstery shop can fashion the foam to fit without ruining the looks of the seat. There's an upholstery shop close to me, and that guy is a wizard with custom work. Ask around (car clubs, local shows, etc), I would think there is a good shop near your home.
