I notice there are some polled up foam stuffed inside the front defuser. Is there a reason for that? Or just part of the delivery the dealer supposed to remove but forgot?

I think its safe to assume it shouldn't be there, but the interesting question is why is it there.

More than likely it came on the part rack that way and for whatever reason the assembler didn't remove it prior or after installation on the vehicle.

Edit: I'm not sure how it is at the mustang plant but at mine the only protection they put on prior to delivery are a couple plastic sheet squares and a few foam squares to protect from door dings and the such... I assume the mustang plant is similar.

That thing is busted, take it off promptly and ship it to me! I will dispose of it properly.

Haha, thanks guys. I figured it was probably forgotten to be removed. I don't think some foam han supply any structure protection.
