Mine did the same thing ... it's supposed to be there, and pushing it back seemed to keep it there for now and the noise away.

Oh awesome ..glad I didn't try to pull it out...I thought it was something they accidently left in at the dealership.

I've had that happen a couple times. I think I'm going to put a piece of tape on it or something the next time I have to push it in. I figure it's just sound insulation.

Same here. No noise after I pushed it in, and it's been over 1000 miles since then.

Thanks for the tip...I keep hearing this slightly muffled passenger door squeaking and when I have a moment to concentrate on it will look for this mystery material. ;)

Crazy I was having similar problems. Every time I opened or closed my drivers side door I would hear the piercing screech of a small child. Turned out I had just ran over someone on my way home. I just peeled them off of my subframe and noise was gone for good.

Yes, it's supposed to be there. See this post with photos of my car (photo #6). Link to post.

Same thing for me, on the driver's side. The top crease in the door was rubbing against it when I opened the door. Started about a week after I got it. I just pushed it in a bit, and no squeaks since. That was months ago...
