I have this incessant rattle at 65mph highway speed from the passenger C-pillar area. I have removed the C-pillar panel, and the side panel below the small window. I thought it was the plastic mount under the air bag, but it's not. This rattle sounds like it is underneath the sheet metal in the wheel well area up to the C-pillar. I'm at a loss as to how to get in there to find out what it is, and stop it. There is some access ports to get in there, but too small to see anything.
So, my next thought it to try and fill some of these voids in the sheet metal with some DAPtex insulation foam by injecting it in there and letting it dampen the sound a bit.
Has anyone ever had success with this?
Could there be any long term problems with doing this?
