The GT has F street class mods (slightly wider fronts and better tires, rear sways and Koni Yellow, catbacks)

According to comments from the owner, in the hands of an instructor the difference widened to 4+ seconds. M3 owner says he will not keep the M3 long as he is worries about rod bearings (regardless of warranty). The car was cost him used than the GTPP new.

Mustang had much stickier tire though than M3 - which is actually faster than a Mustang. Especially in F Street.

Autocross is a very limited and focused view of the 2 cars performance, as I'm sure you know.
Absolutely. But it's interesting they're talking about brakes - which made a lot less difference than tires both cars had. I actually drive S04s daily and difference vs. RE-71Rs (RS-3 is not that different and on track might be actually better) was huge.

I drove my buddies E90 M3 at autocross and got brake fade. Stock, they are not the best. I also pulled on him in a few roll races. IMO, the only thing the M3 has over the Mustang GT PP is 100 less pounds and better shock control.
