Sorry to hear and see what's happening to you Ruby. Seems there is push back from Ford and the dealership. Although ultimately it falls on Fords shoulders to make it right, seems like your dealerships in FL have no damn balls. If the dealership valued their customer relations, they would push Ford to make it right. But in your case, both entities prefer the status quo and that customer is SOL. :tsk:

I won't have a problem, got the BBB on it now, and they are moving right along. Thankfully lemon law protects all of us from the corporate bullies. I am glad they're on my side and helping me out.

Ruby, I don't blame you one bit for fighting to get a buy back. I went down that same road with Nissan on a 2014 Pathfinder. Nissan has many problems with their CVT in their Pathfinder and Altima. Had to have my CVT replaced after only 1700 miles. Still had the same issues that Nissan could not resolve. They denied my buy back request. My wife works for a law firm and they sent Nissan a nastygram and they then offered to give me $3500 to just go away, not fix the problem, just go away. I refused their offer and told them they either buy it back or I file Lemon Law against them. They completed the buy back. Getting a lawyer involved can make a difference. Best of luck to you.

I just read through this thread last night, start to finish, and joined today. This is my second post. I had assumed / hoped that Coyote was a naturally noisy engine, with all of its VCT clicking and popping and air management goodness. Now I am feeling paranoid. The thunk when I go from Reverse to 1st that I thought was just the all weather mats shifting around in the trunk. The rattly clutch sounds, and now, after an oil change I get this weirdness? Right after startup I get a definite tick tick ticking that I thought was normal for this engine even though I had never heard it before. I had the oil changed at 3500 miles with Royal Purple 5w 20. I think they used a Purolator filter. I know it wasn't Motorcraft. I usually change my own oil but didn't feel like it. I also never knew about prefilling the filter. My concern is, should I be concerned? And since this is my first brand new car, I am used to all sorts of noises. How do I define abnormal so I am not blown off at the stealership?

Final Update:

Ford has decided to purchase my vehicle back in good faith, after working with the BBB. I will be wrapping up soon and Ford is cooperating...Finally. Its been great in the forums, while the fever lasted, but based on my experience I will not stick around in these forums. If anyone has questions about the process or would like to chat, shoot me a PM and I will try to answer.
Thank you all for your support and wish you all the best.

Sorry it took so much effort to set this right. I'm glad this worked out for you in the end, however.

Honestly Ruby I only wish I had had the problems I'm having now when my car wasn't 3 years old, and didn't have 60,000 miles on it. only for the last 17,000 miles have I been having unsolvable engine problems.

Came to this thread because of a similar sound. Reading through all 11 threads was like reading a very interesting book, leaving you with the question of "what's going to happen?!"

Anyways, glad this guy got his problem sorted out.

Get it checked out brother, good luck because I don't wish what I have experienced on anyone in this forum.
