Does anyone have a source for the rivets that hold the splitter in place? How about exact rivet dimensions?

Uh oh. Have you sheared yours off? I checked mine when I was re-adjusting my splitter and a few of them are looking a little stressed.

No, I was having my oil line recall done and I thought that I would help the tech and myself by exposing the underside of the car. I pulled all the fasteners out only to find that the underbelly is riveted to the splitter as well. Come to find out, the oil lines are replaced from above with the simple removal of the air cleaner assembly. once it is removed there is a lot of room to get in there to work. I hope my mistake helps others.

The underbody is not riveted to the splitter. The rivets are merely there to take the beatings of driveways, speed bumps, etc. Pull the center section of the splitter off and you'll see.

Phillip - you do not remove the rivets in order to remove the splitter. Those rivets are for a structural "section" that stays in place during installation or removal. Remove all the fasteners except any of the rivets.

For more, check out the following link. I posted it up but it got buried in a bigger thread. I think you'll find some relevant data there.

Thanks for your replys, the work was done and I'm happy with the results. I wish I had looked closer before removing the rivets. the good news is that I only removed 7.

Thanks THX138, I'll be talking to them tomorrow. I also located a rivet tool for these rivets.
