Here are a couple of options that should work.

First is all aluminum. It has been used by Ford for years on the Mustangs for front bumper covers, fascias, air dams, etc. I used several of these on my GT350 front splitter when I was making repairs to it and couldn't find the "correct" rivets.

The second is steel. It has been used by Ford for years for door lock actuators, door handles on the Fox Bodies, and many other uses. The overall length is shorter and may not work in all locations on the front splitter. If I remember correctly I was able to use this style rivet on a few locations on my GT350 front splitter.

Hi Trey,

I have received the rivets and would like to know from you, what brand of rivet installer did you use to install these "Pop" "Rivets" and maybe where you found it.

I currently do not have pop rivet installer in my box.

Best regards,

Rodney

Rodney,

I actually have multiple rivet guns. These being aluminum make them a bit easier to install, but the larger size does require some leverage to seat properly.

I used my Marson Big Daddy Rivet Gun for these when installing them. I believe the part number is #39010. Its not a cheap gun, but very good quality and does both 3/16 and 1/4 Rivets.

Amazon, Harbor Freight, and Ebay have a generic Rivet gun that will work also for these types of rivets and it's a much cheaper option if you don't do a lot of rivets. It will look something like one of these examples.

I am not specifically recommending either of those rivet guns, just giving examples of less expensive options than the Marson. I have a similar version for setting nut serts that I bought online and it has worked well, so I would believe the same for these.

I also have an air operated rivet gun, actually 2 one the Chief Harbor Freight brand that I damaged trying to set 1/4 stainless steel rivets and the other a SpeedAire brand that works amazingly. The issue is the Chief was $100 gun and the SpeedAire a $350 gun. So you get what you pay for. LOL You don't need a gun like the SpeedAire to set these rivets, but it will do a great job if you had one.

Look online and check out the reviews and you should be able to find a good rivet gun for $50-$100 that will set these rivets and most other sizes quickly and easily. Sorry for the long winded response. Good Luck!
