So, one of my previous F150's (2022 PowerBoost) had a nice little grounding stud located near the battery that I found super helpful when I was performing ForScan and FDRS procedures. I was able to connect my power supply to the positive battery post and this ground stud. I decided to have my friend order me one for future use, which he did, but I completely forgot about it until today.

Today I treated my GT500 to its first new battery since it was born 5.5 years ago. Pretty good run, especially since it has spent many months at Shelby (twice), and at the auto body shop all this past winter. I know with certainty that it has been defibrillated countless times with a jump box due to countless flatlining (dead battery events).

Anywho, today I was messing around in ForScan and went to hook up my power supply and remembered that I bought these....three years ago......

I removed an existing bolt that is located just below the negative battery cable and replaced it with one of the grounding studs (comes in a 4-pack). It is a direct replacement option and does not interfere with the negative battery cable, although the photo makes it seem as though it does.

The best part is when the battery cover is installed, it is not visible.

Now I have the perfect location for the ground connection when using my power supply, jump pack, or whatever.

I just thought I would share what I have done in case any of you find the need for it.
