I was wondering what I could do to get that black look of the radiator. How hard was it to paint black?
Simple. Took me about 5 minutes, maybe less

Anyone have pics of the grille delete? Still deciding if I want to do it
Don't do it, they have grille's for a reason. One rock at freeway speeds and you need a new radiator. good luck with bugs too. Do it right buy a grille. If your cheap don't just band-aid fix your ugly grille and cut it out. looks tacky. Expanded sheet metal is cheap and looks better than nothing in there.... But what looks good is all opinion so if stickers giant wings or cutting speed holes in your car is your thing nobody will hold it against you for the most part...

Not ALL cars have grilles from the manufacturer and how many incidents have you heard of with people having a damaged radiator or heat exchanger due to having an open grille? Think about all of the THOUSANDS of open grilles out there. As far as bugs go, I find it makes it a lot easier to clean them. If silver grilles is your thing on a black car, with black stripes, to each his own, we won't hold it against you for the most part...

The GT500's have a very open grill and never have problems.

I've had the grill delete since I've had my car.

If a rock is large enough to damage your condensor (not your radiator...) your grill won't do much. It takes about 15 seconds to fix a few fins if they get bent.

Yes, it does take a little extra care to clean, but I have had no issues.

I have seen several come in for repairs like this, oddly enough several were mitsubishi. 1999-2001 none were sports cars, mostly SUV and Truck

I started yelling condenser at my computer screen halfway through the first page.....

I painted my condensor w/ some radiator paint, and installed some mesh behind the grille to stop those small birds (louisiana mosquitos) from destroying my condensor, lol. It was catching hell before the mesh.

Where'd you get the mesh? Those Louisiana birds are killing me too.

For those who have done the grill delete, can you tell me what in back of the honeycomb on the lower left of both the main part of the grill and the triangle created by the "fang".

Could I safely (carefully) drill into the honeycomb & push thru a small toggle or molly ?

Seems like there is at least an inch or so of "air" between the back of the honeycomb & the condenser on the lower left of the main grill, but it looks like there is something directly behind the triangle bit from the pics.

I guess that is a personal preference; I consider it to look unfinished, like you lost it on the side of the freeway.;) But then i thinks the GT350 tailpipes look unfinished also.

Yikes, that looks horrid. Does it also keep the chickens away from entering the engine bay?
