I'm curious to see if anyone has done a complete grille delete?. What I mean is remove both grills and remount the bumper cover as is. I'm curious about trying this since I'm not a fan of the grill deletes out there.

Why wouldnt you just get something like the Cervini's C Grille to do that? It's practically a grille delete without looking like your car is missing half the bumper lol.,

That's the point I'm not a fan of the seam of the deletes and the posts in the middle. Idealy I would like it to be open with no seam but I'm not sure how large the tabs are. If they aren't to large I would leave them so I can put the grille back if I ever decide to sell.

What seams are you referring to?

Regardless, removing the grilles would look trashy, don't do it. I think my grille delete looks decent

The seam where it transitions from the delete to the bumper cover it's easily seen at the corner I highlighted

Grill deletes look bad on these cars...really bad. Get an RTR upper if you want a better looking grill that also allows for great airflow across the radiator.

It'll look unfinished - to clarify, you're talking about removing the entire plastic insert/fangs, right?

No idea what you're pointing out[?]

Correct complete removal. I can never tell how it looks on the videos of installs though since they always skip to the new grille being in place. I wanted to know if anyone has tried or has any pictures.

I'm with the others on this for many reasons.
-Would look trashy as in it got damaged and you removed it instead of fixing it.
-Would expose your radiator and A/C condenser to bugs and other road debris.
-Would reduce aerodynamic efficiencies (IMO).

Well, on my '16, I cutout my OEM grill to completely expose my Velossa Ducts. I didn't take any photos of the front without a grill at all, but I can tell you, the edges of the fascia (where the grill slides on) don't really look finished how they just end. There's not any other unfinished edges on the car, where it's not covered/capped by some kind of black, plastic. Also, the fangs help to break up what's essentially just a big hole :)

My plan with the '16 was to either remove it again and cover the center with some mesh, swapped it out for a regular OEM part before I traded it in.

I'm looking to do something with my '19, but I know at a minimum it'll be a grill frame, probably an OEM style, with some fully open mesh.

Pic of the '16 for fun :D Really liked the effect with the dual Velossa ducts in a contrasting color.

Okay, so why not get a Bullitt grille? It doesnt have fangs.

That doesn't really look bad but you still have some guard at least and shows some actual structure. Have you considered additional venting of your hood? I'd imagine you're at some type of front aero lift/disadvantage currently.

I'm trying to avoid purchasing the bullet grille if it won't look to bad. And I will be adding a front splitter and front canards for the wheel wells if I go ahead and do this.

This may come as a surprise, but those grille pieces actually do a fair amount to keep the bumper in shape while air is being forced down it's face on the freeway. You would be amazed at how flimsy bumpers are when there's nothing internal to keep their structure. Don't be a degenerate. Your car is already black, what more are you trying to expose?
