I like to disassemble things.
Simple.

Sell the GT350/R, Focus RS, Ford GT through Ford Racing (ala FRPP) much like the Boss S/R, and Cobra Jet cars, except with a VIN. Make them all available at MSRP and allow them to be delivered to the dealer of your choice. Vehicles would include a warranty as well. Cut the head off of the dealer ADM monster, now. This will only get uglier when the next GT500 variant becomes available.

Or you can shop around and find another dealer willing to sell you one at the price you want...like I did! If those dealers want to have those cars sit on their floorplan, let them. I will just buy it elsewhere.
THIS! I don't care if it's GT350R's or Nissan Versa's. Some dealers will try to milk every dollar they can out of the consumer. Others just want to move cars. Find the latter! There is no truer statement than. My money spends anywhere!!!!!

Those dealers get kickbacks and volume bonuses from Ford that allows them to still make money. Big difference between that and artificial markups. Plus the dealers selling under MSRP like that more than make up the "lost" profit in their service/parts dept because of the volume of business they have.

A big problem is there are people that will pay the ADM because they have to have it or be the first to have it. That's a part of our society today (think the long lines on a new iPhone launch). I know a lot of the RS folks would brag about "only" paying 2500 or 3000 ADM thinking they got a deal. Now, a year later, and getting one at MSRP or even lower is possible. Bottom line, as long as Ford allows ADM and people are willing to pay it is gonna happen.

I think you're confusing socialism with crony capitolism.
There's no such thing as crony capitalism. Businesses getting special treatment is socialism, not capitalism. That phrase is an oxymoron.

Let the buyer choose, it will work itself out in the end. Always does.

I shopped around for a Boss 302 and everything within 50 miles had a markup. Forget it. Waited. GT350 rolls around and I start the process all over. Again, few who got them marked them up or had them already saved for people. Even has a returning customer didn't help any. That is how I ended up with a 15 GT/PP.

Although it sounds like the dealer I used did work out a deal with another member here on his 350. I tried but it didn't work out. Back to my point, people will pay or not. If not it sits. Sitting makes no money for anyone.

This ^ My local dealer has marked up every GT350 they have received, yet sold all of them. On the other hand, they tried marking up the RS they received, sat on it. Now they have 5 RS's on the lot and are discounting them to move them.

I know this thread has been 'dead' for awhile, but I just spoke w/a local (DFW) Ford dealership yesterday & they indicated that they are selling PP2 equipped Mustangs for MSRP + $5,000!!! Somehow, they think it's more profitable to sell one (1) Mustang @ a $5,000 profit than ten (10) @ a $1,000 profit each. That just boggles my widdo mind!!! :headbang:

My local dealerships are discounting GT350s. Not by much, but they are.
