Just got buried in snow by Fern. Mustang is hibernating and covered. No self pity. Just really miss driving it already. Trickle trickle.

Well, hopefully the sun comes out this week, even though it's supposed to be cold. The light fluffy stuff will melt quickly. Not quick enough, but it should go down.

i had my garage door open for a half day and the rear bumper got covered in salt. brine crystals blow around. i have rust on the bmr parts just from slight cobtact with salt/rain. i need to use evaporust and paint still ugggg. the second snow fell and brine was put down i put her away for the long nap. i use my stock tires, 235 all seasons and i drive all winter idgaf but snow is a hard stop. only after 1-3 good rains will i put her out. sucks cause i got to stock out for inspection thats up in feb lol im not getting it on the road untill the last week of febuary:( im trying to push my inspection till march for warmer stock out weather lol)
my first car was a 4.6t bird so i got all the drifting out of me when i was younger and could afford to break my street glow neons every other storm lol(the early 2000's was a fun time to be a car installer/sterio jockey)

Both of our Mustangs are off the road until the SALT is off the road!
Hers is in the garage here. Mine is at a buddy's barn. I had some car projects that required all the space in the barn this winter. By next year, both the cars will be stored indoors, right here!!
I get to walk out and look at hers. Mine is a few miles away, and I MISS IT!!

Took me 3 days to unbury mine. I have it covered with a trickle charger but still. Now I hear a nor'easter is coming this Sunday, so I get to do it all over again. Hope my back holds out!

The extreme weather conditions in which the much loved Ford Mustang is driven and garaged is remarkable and varied. On Monday of this week one Australian town named Ouyen located in south eastern Australia in the state of Victoria experienced a temperature of 49Celsius (120.2F). No snow and salt, but heat, flies, dust and at worst flood and bushfires.

This is from a couple weekends ago, 4-6" of pure powder on top of glare ice...

Fast forward to this weekend when we got hit with another 15-24" of the same consistency, snow like a fine dust because its so damn cold.

Mustangs are snow horses.
Exactly! Had my '13 GT when visiting Chicago in 13'-'14. I'm the opposite of a Snowbird. Over 50 inches of snow that season. Just had a coal shovel and a bag of salt in the trunk. Never had a problem, drove all over the city. I know that many owners UP North garage their babies for the winter because of the increased chance of damage, understandable. But I was born and raised in Chicago, and I love to drive in the snow. You only live once. Enjoy your SnowStang!
