I would love to sell it outright but i couldn't sell this car to another person the way that it is and feel good about it. If I have time after I've put it back to stock then I'll try and sell it out right. Car max is a last resort. Hell, I don't think anyone would buy it with the way it runs right now. I know I wouldn't. If any of you would like to buy it let me know. Ha
$1, shipped. :D

After 2 years of frustration and thousands of dollars wasted on parts and tunes I've decided to get rid of my pro charger stage 2 set up. The car won't idle right and seems to fall flat at 3500 rpm and can't seem to get out of its own way. It has actually taken all the fun out of driving this car. Has anyone else made the switch back to natural aspiration?
Not normal,...

My advice is simple, take your car to someone that can look at it,
And tune it IN PERSON. Since obviously mail order isn't working for you.

Something is obviously wrong with your setup, or tune file.
Since it's been years now of these systems being out there.

Cars all over instagram
Cars all over youtube
Cars running hard at the track
Cars running hard on this very forum.

There is no "guessing" what our systems can do.
There is epic mounds of proof of what they do.

That really sucks to hear that. But I have to say that mine runs flawlessly. And so do most. Under normal driving conditions, you would have no idea it had a supercharger. And I've never taken mine to the track, nor do I plan to. It's a daily driver.
I have driven S550's with our ProChargers on every single year, and even 3 different tuners. All with the same results that your talking about.

Fast, fun, wicked daily drivers.

FWIW, the paxton comes with a breather plug.
Not needed for ours as long as oil is changed properly.
We use the same seals as basically every other high speed compressor manufacture.

When people use those "vents" you end up with plenty of mess over time.
Since they "breathe" as they are meant to, and oil vapor comes out.

appears to offer a longer warranty as well:

http://www.paxtonauto.com/article.php?id=152
Are Paxton Superchargers covered by a warranty?
Paxton Automotive offers a three-year limited warranty on all supercharging systems.
Our warranties are the same.

Are the seals easy to swap? I wouldn't want to have to send the S/C in for warranty work just for a seal.
In the rare rare, and I mean RARE case it happens.
We can take care of it very easily.

If its a pulley seal, you can find those local.
The impeller seal is special made for high speed compressors.
And since the impeller would have to be removed properly, I'd say DO NOT attempt that, unless you wanna run risk of breaking things quickly.

When I got it back it looked like it had been shipped in a box of rocks. The finish was all scratched up.
We handle all superchargers here as if they are brand new builds.
They also get shipping out using the exact same materials as new shipments.
We often hear from many many customers we have some of the best packing methods of any aftermarket company.

All blowers leave, as they come in to us.

Hey, I am currently on the same boat as you.
I have a procharger HO kit and my car is not making the power it is supposed to.
I have S550s and camaros with headers and a tune that are faster than me. Its been really frustrating and really thinking about switching to whipple.
Have you been to a local tuner to see what is going on?
Or logged with your current tuner?

Something is off. My PC has been nothing less than perfect so far and made incredible power on 93.

I have had a customer say "My car won't make more then 515rwhp" (previously mail order tuned, unknown tuner)
I personally retuned the car and made 631 rwhp with his set up. (I limited power due to the 52lb injectors, but could have made more)

The only difference was the tune.

So, no hardware change, no fuel change, nothing.
Power gain of 116 rwhp. He was MORE then happy when he left.

There are so many variables these cars can control its crazy.
Though it sounds like you are a few dyno runs and datalogs away from being set.

You'd think you'd give the OP a little help then, since he's got a ProCharged car that runs like shit. PS, my Paxton doesn't blow oil out the breather plug.

NOTE: We don't have tunes for cars with headers and stuff, so we aren't an option there.

I did make my advice on how to best solve his issue.
My advice is the same... whatever is being tried isn't working.

He needs to have his car in front of a shop that can see it in person.
And ideally a shop that can TUNE, so it's a one stop solution.

I mean after all, it sounds like everyone and their brother has tried to tune it with the same results. So obviously something is wrong.

And ProCharger cars running like that is NOT normal.
Which is obvious.

OP said he had it at a tuner, and during a dyno pull the S/C malfunctioned and they had to send it back to Procharger for a rebuild that he had to pay for since it was over a year, and no longer covered by warranty. And he isn't eager to try that again.

I didn't know you didn't tune for other mods. If you've given advice that he hasn't tried, that's on him. He did make changes to the kit, and that's when the problems happened. Sounds like he's given up though.

I would have given up as well considering what he's gone thru.
I don't understand why you can't make a tube file for headers. All headers are basically the same. I don't know how many PC guys don't have headers.

I have installed (3) different sets of headers for these cars.
And literally NONE of them are even remotely the same.

Plus most people installing headers, remove cats.
And with the current CARB issues going around, thats something we want to be far far far away from.

That makes more sense now. It would be cool if you all could offer one for an extra charge.

It comes down to R&D time on the dyno, street testing, emissions testing, etc.

We are looking to add another dyno to the facility, so even more testing can happen at the same time. However we get so buried in model year updates for all the different platforms, Ford, Dodge, GM, etc.... our Dyno runs all day, everyday as it is.

(literally its booked) LOL. Poor thing.

And you know cars have lots of runs on them, when you hit the search for a cars licence plate and it says "Please limit your search to less then 1000" LOL

OP said he ran stock manifolds and cats and Procharger tune for the first year but didn't state how the performance was for that setup. At this point he is also concerned about OPG and not sufficiently motivated to upgrade that part.
