Actions have consequences. What we did a couple of years ago is biting us right now.
Yea, the Jan 6th crew are catching it. Good thing some of them will have a long time to consider their actions.

The trouble is, it's the politicians who do the actions, and us who get to suffer the consequences.
By the time those consequences arise, they are long gone from the office, leading a comfortable and luxurious life and not caring two hoots about what they've done, because it won't affect them personally in the slightest.
You are worried about what a politician does? Really? In the US they work for the American public, period. Like it or not, not everyone thinks the same.

Thread is starting to sound like some pity party. Gee...

ā€¦ radical green energy policies strain our electric grids. Here's how bad it will get if they continue (msn.com)

ā€œIn 2022, approximately 60% of electricity generated in the U.S. came from burning fossil fuels at our nation's 3,400 coal and gas-fired plants. By requiring fossil fuel plants to capture nearly 90% of emissions, knocking their generating capacity down to uneconomical levels, the EPA will force a de facto shutdown of our nationā€™s affordable, reliable energy.ā€

ā€œIn February, PJM Interconnection, the nationā€™s largest grid operator, released a report warning that retirements are at a risk of outpacing the construction of new resources onto the bulk power system. Simply put, fossil generation retirements are the key accelerator of grid unreliability.ā€

ā€œOver the past 50 years, emissions of the six most common greenhouse gases dropped by 78%. Utilities and power companies have taken dramatic steps to curb emissions while still providing affordable and reliable power. ā€œ

Hello; Stuff we have already written of, but this adds numbers and other pertinent information.

The numbers don't matter, it's where they come from that does.

1000 birds killed by oil BAD fine em
1000 birds killed by windmills GOOD do nothing
1000 birds killed by solar panels, GOOD do nothing.

10,000 tones of Co2 emitted by fossil fuel power generating, BAD get rid of the plants.

10,000 tones of Co2 from Solar panels and wind mills, GOOD do nothing but make excuses why it is better.

It's a political shit show.

To add a study proves that this so called ā€œlab meatā€ creates 4-25X more CO2 when made then beef cattle does over its lifetime. šŸ˜‚
You canā€™t make this shit up.

Yeah youā€™re talking to the wrong person about them. Those where real freedom fighters šŸ˜‚
I know - they were trying to overthrow election, totally should be in federal prison for seditious conspiracy.... Oh, wait....

LOLOL. We're getting too deep into politics but this argument in probably dumbest in this thread of many incredibly dumb arguments.

Jan 6th guys didn't really go to prison for riot, did they ? So bit of a missed argument, again, like this thread is full of.
Seditious conspiracy, domestic terrorist, assault of a police officer isn't exactly looting local Best Buy. But hey, I get it, it fits the narrative just disappointing relatively reasonable person would fall for it.

Molotov cocktails thrown at federal buildings and assaulting cops.

Yep the people on the west coast were peaceful.

Last I'm going to say about it

It is wrong in all cases. So why just prosecute the people on the east coast?

EDIT - (adding quotation marks) (this is from the link) Assuming the continued use of highly refined growing media, the researchers estimate that each kilogram of ACBM produces 542 pounds (246 kg) to 3,325 pounds (1,508 kg) of carbon dioxide emissions. Based on these figures, they calculate that the global warming potential of cultured meat is between four and 25 times greater than that of retail beef.

So what youā€™re saying is that for the surfs itā€™ll be a much lower quality of beef right? So we wonā€™t have to worry about these numbers.

You remember that whole pigeon and playing chess argument right? Donā€™t do it. šŸ˜‚
Hello; Fellows they are trying to derail the thread. Throwing out hot button topics to get a rise out of some of us. We have poked holes into the "green energy and BEV agendas so this is the tactic they revert to. The topics themselves are worthy of discussion but stray into areas we are not to enter.
I do wonder how this is supposed to work in the sense that jtmat & kz throw out bait bombs all the while fully expecting to be unscathed by their own actions. I get how it worked for them during the covid threads, but hope this thread is not so structured.
