Well, as of yesterday, the wife unit has approved the purchase of a 2015 PP GT.

The big question: what's the best route to the best deal? Are there any memberships or such that save some money?

For example, when I bought my Jeep Wrangler, you got 1% under invoice if you were a member of Tread Lightly and any incentives (virtually non-existent in the case of a Wrangler) were on top of that. No hassle, just the way I like it.

I've got until March or so to decide which color to lock in on and order, so let's hear the suggestions......

Well...the most common is joining the Mustang Club of America, which allows you to generate 2 X-Plan PIN's a year. To find out how that'll benefit you go to www.fordpartner.com, put in the Mustang Club Code (MC405) and go to the Mustang section and use the B&P tool. MCA membership is $50 and you'll have access to your PIN immediately as long as you're signed up for at least a year.

Any current rebates, cash offer coupons, etc will stack on top of that unless it specifically says X plan exempt.

It's a clear cut way to get a great price. You can try negotiating, or if you have an immediate family member who is a Ford employee you can get a better pricing plan.

Forget MCA. Join EAA it's 30$ I think and get X plan with that then they give you a 750$ coupon then use fords 500$ rebate . Both expire Jan 5th so act fast. I did this last week and got out with 1200 under invoice.

I won't be ordering until winter is waning.....

Regarding the MCA option, do you have to be a member for a full year before you can benefit?

It's immidate, I got my coupon a few min after I paid. Fyi I also became a member of mca but that was because I didn't know about EAA at the time.

The reason I pointed him to the MCA is because the EEA $750 will be gone by the time he orders.

I tried to buy a Yellow 2015 Mustang GT Premium 50th using the X-Plan & the dealer said no.

I drove the car then came back so My son & my wife could drive it. The salesman I had to go on the test drive in was cool & let me push it hard thru the twisty back roads. Fun car, feels heavy, awesome brakes & seats but slower than my 2013 GT.

Not sure about slower then he 2013 but it soaks up the raw feeling and harshness much better so maybe it just feels slower.
Dealer saying no to x plan means find another dealer. I went to 2 dealers before I got the deal I wanted

Dealers can give you a good deal if they want if they don't they wont. Xplan eaa or what ever you can get far better than that. No you wont get a great deal on a 50th anna or a convert car right now they are limited. Don't go in looking like a I might buy kind of guy. Tell them I am going to order this car it wont cost them money siting on the lot paying interest. Tell them I will pay invoice yes they may add a process fee advertising fee but thats the point you negotiate up from low not high down. Dealer may say no way that's fine be nice give him your name & number and call me when your manager wants to sell this car. If the manager is never involved you didn't get a good price. Tell them your going to go to every dealer within a 100 miles do it. Then go home and wait for the calls they will come. Go in knowing exactly what you want no trade that hides the true price of the car. I got a mustang that way its on its way here now.
