Hey, I know that car! My mom still lives in your neighborhood. It's where my family moved when I was in high school; I ended up at HSE (I wound up in the final class before the split). I'd always drive down your street when I'd visit her to see if you had your garage open so I could see your car... and the yellow one before this one!My car with another set of wheels. Enkei TY-5 in Pearl Black. (Mirror cut faces, then tinted clear topcoat.)

Not a slight to your silver wheels but these wheels look much better on your car. I prefer the contrast of dark wheels with lighter colored cars but that’s just meMy car with another set of wheels. Enkei TY-5 in Pearl Black. (Mirror cut faces, then tinted clear topcoat.)

Did you talk to the guys at Crown Customs in Wheeling? They do paint and powder coating. I personally would go with paint due to the amount of heat applied to the wheels for powder coating process.I have someone that offers doing it for $179, which is why I was considering this. Then again, I have a powder coating company that will do everything for $425, which is pretty phenomenal pricing.
No offense taken. Not a slight to your silver wheels but these wheels look much better on your car. I prefer the contrast of dark wheels with lighter colored cars but that’s just me

I shopped wheels for 9 months before buying. There are a lot of factors to consider - mainly style, fitment, expense, and even tire options.I know what you mean! I ordered my car back in October and immediately started looking at wheels. Took delivery in February thinking I'd made up my mind on the wheels I'd be buying.... guess who still doesn't have new wheels as we get ready to enter July!
I'll have to take you up on that whenever I'm back up there visiting. You should have stopped to chat!
How do you compare Raleigh with Fishers?
I've definitely been learning! I think finding tires to pair with any of the wheels I've considered is probably the biggest challenge I've faced with the whole thing. But, I do think I've finally settled on the wheels I want recently....they're out of stock currently, thoughI shopped wheels for 9 months before buying. If you have any inclination to track your car, then that becomes a big factor in wheel choice. I run street set and track set, both square setups. But if I had to do it over, I'd go 10" wide square for track (at least).I've definitely been learning! I think they'll pair really well with the Mischievous Purple.
I'd love to one day. But, probably not until I have another car I can rely on once things start breaking. Until then, anything I'd do for now will be every now and then, just to get my feet wet, nothing crazy. 10" squared is what I've been thinking for my daily driving, though. If you have any inclination to track your car, then that becomes a big factor in wheel choice. I wish GT's had wider front track by way of 3/4" wider front fenders and then there wouldn't be so much difficulty fitting wider wheels up front.
That's what I don't like about the black wheels on my white Mustang. Just big black holes, and it looks like truck tires/wheels to me. I had rimblades on them for some separation but the tire shop destroyed them putting the new tires on. I think that I am going to clean up the edge and then paint the silver on them this summer. No offense taken.
The counterpoint some make against black wheels on light colors is that the contrast makes it look like there are just big black holes in the side of the car.
I ran those black wheels since 2016, first on my yellow stang, and then on my orange one. When the tires wore out, I bought a set of never-used take-off wheels with A/S tires for daily. They are the OEM "dark stainless" (?), and I like them a little better. Though I still like the pearl black too.
The photo of my car with silver wheels is with my O.Z track wheels.
I guess the light colors can go either way - black or silver.
