Getting ready to start shopping for my Bullitt Mustang hopefully here in another month. Yeah I'm that guy that usually will have mods sitting on the workbench before I even have a car... lol

After watching literally every review video I can find on the bullitt... 2 things I noticed people consistently talk / complain about.

1. 1st and second being loooooong.

2. The block offs in the front bumper that block air to the brakes and why they're not functional.

So I have a few questions:

I ran 4.09s in my 2006 GT with a 5-speed and it was by far the best modification ever made to the car, Not only would she tear out of the hole hard as hell, but just overall drivability especially in upper gears including overdrive was just much more engaging.

Has anybody modded the rear end in a bullitt for 4.09 or 4.30 or 4 56s?

How's she running? More lower end torque but yet still gets decent miles per gallon and still good on long cruises is what im hoping to hear.

Has anyone looked at trying to make the scoops on the front bumper to the brakes functional for better brake Cooling? How'd you do it?

Thanks!

Modding the rear isnt any different from any other GT, 4.09 will make it close to the 15-17 gearing, 4.30 is a bit more aggressive but Ive not seen anyone sell a 4.30, just 4.56. There are MANY threads on this.

Unless you are doing lots of track work you're not going to need to worry about brake cooling any. If you want Steeda sells small fins that help direct some air to the rotors. The vents that are on the car were NEVER for brake cooling but for aero dynamics and MPG.

Hey I recently upgraded to 4.56 gears and I love them. Definitely makes the pulls in 3rd and 4th more enjoyable. I also DD my car ~65 miles per day in a mix of highway and street and haven't had any issues but you will have to get a tune done to clear up all the faults that come up.

MPG hasn't really been affected at all from what I can tell.

I did notice that the rear diff temp gets up to 175°-200° with the motorcraft gear oil so I switched to Amsoil oil 75w-90 and that dropped it to around 150°.
