I have great guy in Salem,OR that is a expert in setting up gears. These guys are not easy to find.
Yeah maybe. I'm just looking for way to get some gains here. I'm FBO and tuned. The downfall is not being able to achieve octane like E30 as that's what everyone says is best bang for buck. I'm really looking at the Vargas, just read all 10 pages and I noticed there isn't a big jump in performance on 91-93. Seems like you need at least e30 to get the most from it. I think I'd only wanna go 3.55 over the 73 for MPG as well as a better range for higher boost/better turbo action. So I'm just weighing my options now. Where is all the E85 around here Huff?!?

How far is Portland from you? I ask because a quick search I found definitely one (jay's Garage) and maybe 2 more stations selling E85 that say ~10 miles from Vancouver, WA. Also Arbor American Biofuels in Vancouver area (2 locations Vancouver & Battle Ground) is stated on another site as selling E85 but doesn't say if its available for the public or if they actually do today. An E30 tune from Adam wouldn't be a bad thing even if it was just once in awhile.

First off I appreciate your time to look into that, hot damn.

Secondly I know of one place across the river that sells E30. As for e85 you may be correct but like you said I think that's a commercial application. What I weigh about this is the hassle of mixing and calculating as well as being conscious of my trips and my surrounding stations. I drive to Cali every summer and I'm not sure I want to plan my route so much as to hit E85 everywhere.

I'm currently looking at Meth kits because that's available everywhere, provides great cooling and knock resistance, and gets great gains. Also keeps things running clean. Very low maintanence as well. I know I won't get as much benefit as 85 I believe but anything is better than 91/92. I gotta say though that was awesome of you to pull that info up lol we have the best forum

No problem. Sitting in the lab running test in auto mode so had 40' to play on the web!
When I do finally get my EB I'm in the same, I'll have to drive 15 miles to get E85, plus install the aux setup/FP upgrades. I now have the same gas station chain 1 mile from my house but they sell E15, WTF is that!
Another option is a race gas tune. Great thing about the Cobb is that you can get the tunes dialed in and even if you don't use them often, you can switch to them easily when fuel is accessible. IIRC you can have 5 tunes ready to go. I sure wouldn't be driving long distances with E85.

Yeah true about the distance on it. But anyways it just seems like a lot less to do for me to run meth. I'll still definitely benefit from it not only now but when my little baby Vargas gets added. You can buy blends and washer fluid anywhere! And I may get an RGA tune for the track unless it would be a PITA with the meth, not sure how compatible those two are. I'm still learning a lot about all of this, just reading everything ever posted 2 hours a day.

E15..? That like 96?

E15 For flex fuel cars maybe? I have a 6spd Ecoboost Stang also and I just tried swapping in a Ford racing diff loaded with 3.55. just found out I have to buy a custom driveshaft. The diameter of the pinion yoke is larger than the Ecoboost so the back of the driveshaft won't mate up and the GT driveshaft is shorter than that off the Ecoboost. It's pissing me off. DSS is projecting a month out on production so I've got to do something soon.

I swapped my 3.31's to 3.73's and love it.. It so improved my ecoboost. I bought mine off ebay and then found a user on this site that wanted my 3.31's for his gt that was upgraded to 750whp so he wanted the taller gears. So I had my 3.73's installed and then he gave me is 3.73 for my 3.31. SO....I have an extra 3.73 pumkin with about 20k miles on it for sale if anyone wants details, PM me.

You swap pinions, Had to do that on mine when I swapped to 3.73s from the gt pumpkin and my 3.31 pumpkin from my ecoboost.. no extra parts needed.

The way I do it is I order pure Ethanol E100 online. It comes in 10L canisters. I take them with me to the gas station and I fill in 35l of gas with 10% Ethanol and one canister of E100. Gets me right to E30 without doing any kind of math.
