Yep, income varies widely depending on where one lives.
It's not that wildly, and the US is no way near the bottom. We pay almost 4 times more for fuel, so it is darn expensive for us. In fact it has been identified as an issue that is holding the Eurozone's economic growth back.

Votes are in. Overwhelming meh.
Only reason I voted drive it less is that I barely drive it anyways. I did drive it all week last week though, looked at the dang radar today and up it went. Back to the gas saving Hemi Ram Truck with the 5.7.

I'm very frugal to begin with. I really wouldn't see myself making any changes because I'm basically doing everything I can as is to save money. My play money goes towards fixing up my house not the mustang. The ecoboost is bone stock except for a stow and show bracket and tint and will stay that way.

Also when I bought the ecoboost I figured gas would be going up in the future. I know many here say it wouldn't bother them but when gas got really high a few years ago you couldn't give away big gas guzzling cars.

I once had a commute of 50 miles each way. Lived that lifestyle for 2 years. When I evaluated my priorities I saw that the commute was getting in the way of life. Not only did I feel like I was working just to fill the tank to get to work, which also meant I didn't have as much play money, but I was also giving up 2 hours of every day stuck in an unenjoyable type of driving. Long story short, I moved to within 6 miles of work. Gas prices don't affect my budget and I have a lot of time to spend with family and enjoy/afford my hobbies.

$5 per gallon would suck but it wouldn't bother me that much. I would probably just drive less. I average about 20k a year, I can manage reducing that a little. Plus I travel a lot for work, so it doesn't effect me as much.

I don't think many us drive a whole bunch of Just for fun miles. If I drive it's cause I gotta be somewhere. Very little unneccesary diving going on....

I'd drive my prius every day, like I already do, and enjoy the reduced traffic

The GT premium I'm planning to get will be to replace my current weekend car and it will probably get a little better mpg anyway lol

I've tried doing the whole economy car thing. Car's are such a big part of my life and passion for me that not having a high performance car was a low point for me, much more than I expected. Beyond really sucking the fun out of driving, I felt like I was out of the club. I'd talk to other car guys and the topic of what I drove would come up and I'd have to answer, "Honda Fit" which is not a good answer.

Point being, I would sacrifice quite a lot in terms of the quality of my life before I gave up owning a sports car, it's just a higher priority than about anything else. Its something like Water > Shelter > Food > Sports Car > Community> Self affermation. If we're being Pavlovian about it.

Don't get me wrong, I think that's the best car in the segment, but you can't be an enthusiast and have that be your only car. It was so depressing to pin the throttle and ... nothing.
