the 7spd MCT transmission in the 2012+ C63's is pretty responsive and efficient compared to the older converter based 7spd transmissions. Couple people have gotten into the 9's with a supercharger, headers, and a built transmission. Lots are in the mid to low 10's
Beef,
Thank you for the explanation. I thought this was being done as a replacement for a BOV. Didn't realize it was being used to add boost pressure control
I really like this idea, run a smaller pulley and dial down the boost with the use of an EBC, then be able to turn it up with...
Beef,
Not sure if you have explained before, but hope you don't mind me asking
Why is a wastegate being used instead of a blow off valve or bypass valve?
maybe it is 42psi absolute pressure(including atmospheric pressure) and the relative pressure would then be ~27-28psi
or they are actually running 42psi:eyebulge:
very impressive run either way!
I got busy with college and then with work. Fell out of it and now I don't even know where the local meets are anymore
And I hear that about the younger kids. City I live in is full of kids that turn 16, get brand new cars and then try to race any and everyone. Can't tell you how many of...
Back when I used to go to car meets with my 04 wrx, i respected every car, didn't matter what manufacturer it was or how much power it had. I was there to hang out and talk about cars in general and if some 16 year old kid loved his civic SI, he was a car nut just like me.
the Subaru and...
may sound dumb, but if it isn't belt slip, datalog the car and make sure the throttle is staying open
I've seen with some other cars that, for various reasons(torque limiting, boost limiting, transmission slip), the ecu will close the throttle body at higher RPM resulting in both boost and...
the 328i is a "twin power turbo" which is BMW's name for a twin scroll turbo. still only one turbo and it still only makes 230whp stock. looks like with a tune they put down 260whp http://burgertuning.com/images/dynos/n20_jb4.jpg.
pretty safe to say your ebm is faster, but the germans...
Saw a video today of what I think is the same car racing a supercharged C63 (rolling race on a street)
I'd post the link, but I'm not sure what this forum's rules are when it comes to posting videos of cars that are racing on the street
I got quoted $68.50 a month for maximum coverage ($250,000/$500,000/$100,000 Liability and $50,000/$100,000 uninsured motorist coverage) on a fully loaded GT premium
that's as a second car driven under 10,000 miles a year
Its gonna be a weekend car, so I figure at maximum i would do an...
