Anyone have more information on Full Race and their EcoBoost SEMA project car? I read it makes 500hp and 450lbs-ft and has BorgWarner turbo, intercooler, oil cooler, oil catch can, coilovers, 6 piston front & 4 piston rear Brembo calipers, 20x10" front, 20x12" rear... But that's all I can find.

Really looking forward to finding out more also. But I do know that they have worked with Cobb's accessport in the past to tune some high power ecoboost cars. Maybe Cobb will chime in since they post here often.

They make nice stuff. There was a lot of hype about the EB F150 they had at SEMA last year, but afterwards never posed real dyno numbers, no track times, and all the talk died out. If like to see this actually go to the track and put down a dyno number on video.

If you like to have 500 HP it would be much cheaper to get an 5.0 GT and go from there. The Full RACE looks to me like a snow blower. Sorry!

Full race makes some good products but honestly i think their kits are overpriced. Just my .02

with that said though i am curious to see exactly what they did with the turbo/headifold to mount it that high.

There's a $7000 difference between the EB and GT. It will be less than that to get 500 HP out of the EB. And the GT will cost additional money to get to 500 HP as well.

Now if you are going for higher than that the GT might be cheaper in the long run.

It wouldn't be cheaper, you can get to 500 WHP on the EB and that would cover the price difference between the two. If you want 500+, then it would be smarter to go with the GT for reliability reasons, but around 500, it will be cheaper to do it on the EB. To get the proper cooling, exhaust, tune, and turbo upgrades will run about $6-7000. $1000 for cooling, $1200 for exhaust, $2-3000 for the turbo, $500-1000 for the tune. That comes to about 6200 bucks in my experience with my friends who have Evos and have gotten to 500 HP. People really underestimate forged internals. Now at that point you will be on par with the GT cost wise but much faster. To get to 500WHP on a GT will require ported heads/cams/headers, as the standard mods (CAI, intake manifold, catback exhaust, tune) will only get it to around 430-450WHP. After that point, any mods to the tires/suspension will be done on both cars and would be a moot point to bring up.

The only issue I see getting to that power would be the fuel system on the EB. No one really knows where it goes to, only that it is above the Focus ST, and upgraded DI systems are difficult.

Tuned using an AP, but no more details quite yet. :mullet:

If the drivetrain will hold together that would be a high 9sec low 10sec EB on proper drag tires
I like the 2.3, but let's stay realistic. 500rw w/ lightweight wheels and proper suspension changes 'might' see high 10s.

I've seen some of their products available for EB F150s, but have no experience. I do think they could've come up w/ a better name for their company...

It wont be long until we see high 10s on stock turbo with full boltons and proper gearing. If the Full Race car is 500whp and like I said the drivetrain will take the abuse it is a 9sec car with lots of weight redux...lol

SEMA2014 was nuts for us. Ford put our 2015 Mustang EcoBoost right next to Ken Block's Ghymkhana 7 stang, so we had psychotic amounts of media activity around our baby.

Our Ford contracts do not allow us to publically post about our projects before SEMA. now, our contractual obligations have been met and Im Happy to say this 2.3L Mustang EcoBoost kicks ass :headbang: I documented our build and will put a build thread together this week. If you've not been in a car with the track pack and recaros its truly an outstanding configuration

-The contractual obligations with this SEMA/Ford project were based around bringing top-shelf "new products" to the automotive aftermarket. Allowing end users to upgrade from 310hp (Stock turbo, calibration @ flywheel) to 500hp (full-race modified with EFR7163 twinscroll turbo) using bolt-on components and stock fueling system with a class-leading drivetrain already in place

The Full-Race new product listing portion of our contract consists of:

New Product Development:
Full-Race 3” Cat-Back Exhaust System
Full-Race ProStock FMIC (Charge-Air-Cooler)
Full-Race ProStock Charge Piping Kit
Full-Race ProStock Cold Air Intake and Airbox
Full-Race ProStock Downpipe (off-road use only)
Full-Race Air-to-Oil Oil cooler (thermostat controlled)

Full-Race 2.3L EcoBoost Twinscroll EFR Turbo Kit
o Full-Race EFR Twinscroll Stainless steel Turbo Manifold
o Full-Race EFR Downpipe
o Full-Race EFR Charge Piping Kit
o Full-Race EFR 3” Air Intake
o BorgWarner EFR Turbocharger

-the project started in 2010 with Ford engineer Ken C and BW engineer Brock F. The concept was to see how a prototype 2.3L ecoboost engine would with a bunch of different prototype turbo configurations. Full-Race built numerous test prototypes and Ford's CFD dept took on the project and we learned far more than I ever anticipated

-The objective for our project is not to build a 9 second drag type car, even though everyone acknowledges the potential is there. It is to acheive a well-rounded street-track car powerband - with the the fastest responding, most-area-under-the-curve 500hp possible, from a 2.3L displacement high VE twinscroll turbo engine.

-we are using cobb on our fusion and mustang right now. we are using SCT on our F150. Each system is very good in their own way, and the system you choose should depend on which tuner you will work with.

-our F150 ecoboost on 100% stock fuel system, 91 octane, no water/meth makes 507whp. low boost 16psi on EFR6258 and soft wg actuator

gotta get back to work. this platform is what I've been living and breathing for close to 4 years now, and very excited to see how things unfold. good job :ford:
