Yes the build thread will have many photos of the wheel fitment and suspension installation. Using a coilover in front helps make aggressive wheel and tire sizes fit. We used penske coilovers and the 285 on 10" wide rim was very close to the spring, about 5mm away. Now i would have done a 285 on 10.5" or 11" front with less offset and it would have fit just fine (you can see our fronts had more room to come out). Here is a photo of the Penske coilover kit:

fitting the rear 20x12 +52mm offset was done with some slight fender rolling. If it was a +55mm or +60mm it could have been an easier fit.

Geoff, thanks for posting info on your Mustang.:headbang:

Just read your Ecoboost F150 & Fusion articles. Good stuff.

I've been following the comments on fb and Instagram and its funny to see the shitty things people are saying.

This is honestly the only mustang in existence I would want to own. It's what this gen mustang is suppose to be, a dominating track car!

At my next trackday I want to see these ecoboosts in the same presence as the brz crowd!

Keep it up guys, great work!

:amen: that sums up my feelings on the matter. As you probably saw in the comments, some diehards are stuck on V8 power and resent the fact we work on turbocharged 4/6cyl engines exclusively. They seem to forget about the old 2.3L turbo mustangs which have a cult following to this day, and cant accept the reality of functional aerodynamics. Perhaps we're in the minority for now, but it will not stay that way for long

Do you happen to know a rough idea of where the stock turbo maxes out with the rest of your upgrades and what parts would you buy first if you couldn't do it all at once?
hey thanks a lot joe, glad to hear you guys liked our build. The stock engine / turbo is rated to 310hp at the flywheel. With our upgrades (3.5" intercooler, 3" turbo back exhaust, wastegate, tune) 350-360 flywheel hp is attainable. Keep in mind the stock turbo is designed for very quick torque/spool with minimal emissions - as a result it uses an extremely small turbine wheel and housing A/R ratio which pretty much puts a hard limit with the stock frame turbo in this power region. That is why we convert to a standard-rotation BorgWarner EFR "Engineered for Racing" turbo - the sky is the limit with the same exhaust, intercooler and pipes

What are your "subtle weight reduction mods?" Under 3300 is awesome.
our car began life without sunroof or any additional stereo features to keep weight down. We have not removed any interior and we have not added any cage yet. Here are some of the changes off the top of my head, i will highlight this stuff with the build thread:

penske front coilovers -9 lbs
dead NVH weights bolted to rear subframe -18lbs
dead NVH weights bolts to front subframe - 4 lbs
spare tire and trunk interior panels (cant remember lbs)
Full-Race downpipe -6lbs
Full-Race catback exhaust -20 lbs
EFR turbo -3 lbs
plastic splitter to carbon honeycomb splitter -6lbs
delete foglights for brake ducts -7lbs
lightweight floating brake rotors -4lbs per wheel (-16lbs rotational total)

added weight:
20x12 TE37 w/ 315 R888 +1 lb (+4lbs total)
Full-Race intercooler +2lb
Kognition Wing (not on the car when it was weighed) +11lb
Whiteline Front and Rear swaybars (not on the car when it was weighed) +6lb

Full Race makes some amazing stuff and their work with the BW EFR turbo's is awesome…I'm looking forward to getting one of their EFR kits for my wife's STI
Appreciate the vote of confidence! Borgwarner's EFR turbos really are the most reliable and best performing turbos on the market today. Subaru turbokits are one of our most popular setups. The stock location EFR kits are especially popular, unreal bang for the buck with them

thanks jim, i love the 'dohc' in your username. Im working on the next round of mustang articles, will take a week or so to get it all online

Do you have the LF that heavy for a reason?
I took this photo before corner weighting and aligning the car. I got soo excited to see it was under 3300 i busted out my camera. Once we get the car back from Detroit we have a ton of work to do and will make sure to update everyone on final wet weight, with and without driver, etc.

I've seen what you guys have been able to do with the 4g63 and have churned out som great stuff. My evo was actually a 2.3 stroker with a HTA Green great low end power.

I'm looking forward to see how your kit comes out and how that exhaust manifold looks like as well!

I was thinking there wouldn't be much left in the stock turbo after seeing it today in person. It's tiny and the cat below it is huge but i was impressed with the car even with the 3.15 rear and 20" wheels.

One of my coworkers just got an EFR turbo and manifold from you guys for his S2000 and the quality is top notch. I can't wait to see some dyno charts and hopefully some videos of the Mustang parts, it's going to be an interesting winter with everybody finally getting cars and getting them built for next years race and show season.

It is a lot bigger than a K04, that is for sure.

Is the stock fuel system e85 compatible?
Not sure if its compatible but i read somewhere on the forum that it doesn't have enough capacity to handle the fueling needs of e85.

edit: lets not turn this in to an E85 thread please.

Any updates on this? Would love to read an article for this particular car, as I do fancy how it looks and would love to read about the performance of it.
