Hi there.

Planning to put a stall in the car soon and I’m wondering if doing the headers with the transmission out is much easier.

Just rolling ideas around... would the engine still need to be “jacked” or is removing he transmission enough for clearance?

Hate spending the money... but if I already have the tranny out, that may be the time...

Thanks!

You still need to support the engine because you have to remove the mounts.

Wait, if you have to take the starter out for a trans, then yes... do while the trans is out since you have to take the starter out when you do headers.

i did mine with the trans out and will do the same when putting the manifolds back on for the turbos. while far from necessary it was nice having the trans out of the way to work. I was doing stall/headers at the same time and will be doing stall/turbo (aka manifolds) at the same time as well so it makes sense for me. i would NOT pull the trans JUST to do headers...
