Countless threads about oil, the life blood. I do not believe I have ever seen a thread about what you're feeding the beast.

So what's the best fuel ?

The kind that comes from corn.

Otherwise, a “Top Tier” 93 octane. I usually sick with Mobil, Exxon and Shell.

Yes, quality fuel is important. If a station looks old and pumps not maintained I will typically go elsewhere unless it’s a fill up or run out situation.

I run top tier 91 octane, can't find 93 near me. Also, try to ensure it's 100% gas, not E10.

I wish I could find non ethanol fuel. The only thing I see is REC90 which is for boats and off-road vehicles.. no ethanol.

Citgo top tier 91 here. Have run 91 and 93 top tier and have noticed zero change. Just be sure whatever you run make sure it says top tier on the pumps and I'll link a logo you need to look for

Pretty much all major brands are top tier.

There was a list posted on the site somewhere in another thread.

BP
SHELL
Mobil
Exxon
Sunoco
Chevron
Costco
Marathon
Valero

Plus many more are top tier.

LOL no this topic has been done several times. And I am typically the odd man out. But the manual says "designed for 87" so I'm fine with saving 16 bucks a tank at a fill up. I don't suffer from butt dyno or placebo afflictions LOL. I can't tell any different in 91/93 or 87. And yes I know the manual also says if available higher octane is recommended. But considering all the development and it being "designed for 87" that tells my 87 wont hurt it just you may get better performance form 91/93. so unless im gonna be tearing it up or have some need for the extra few HP 91/93 gives i'll save my 32 bucks a week (two fill ups and gas here is almost a dollar difference in 87 to 93) thats 1664 dollars a year im saving using the gas the engine was "designed for". My buddy was a die hard 93 octane man in his until i talked him into trying 2 tanks of 87 and that's all hs used ever since. He says he cant feel any difference either so save the money.

E85 or Top Tier 91 when I’m tuned.

If I’m not tuned or taking a road trip, 87 is what I run.

Top Tier 91 in my area. Shell if I can get it, but mostly Chevron due to nearby location.

87 octane cars that recommend premium is a waste, it makes no difference other than to your wallet . It's been tested and proven many times over and over but changing car enthusiasts minds is a different story. Here is just one from consumer reports https://www.consumerreports.org/car...ine-worth-extra-price/?video_id=6031545058001. If your basing it on the aditives (the only thing that differentiates gasoline brands) as all gas is the same, then the lower octane has the same additives as the high octane and you get the same cleaning effects. long and short of it save the cash. There is also a road and track article on the AAA study of fuel usage where they found over 2.2 billion is spend every year on fuel for cars that don't benefit from it.
