A very frustrated poster here... need some advice. Here is my issue. I have a 2016 GT PP. I ordered this car new and when it was ready to be delivered to the dealership, I met the delivery truck and took possession there. I mention this to indicate that the car has never been out of my possession, nor has anyone (outside of the factory/rail-yard) driven the car. My plan was always to install a Whipple and I have a stage 2 Whipple kit sitting in my garage waiting for me to install. I have been a gear-head for 40 years and at one time worked as a professional mechanic with all my ASE certs. That was back when we were still called mechanics and not technicians. I am also a professional mechanical engineer. When I started breaking in the car, I did not baby it, nor did I beat the heck out of it. I did a mix of around town and highway driving but always did "spirited driving" once oil was warmed up. The car has never seen redline, but lately I have been approaching that. Fairly low miles to date, approximately 1200. Reason low miles is the fact that I had a stroke and the subsequent recovery time.
Ok, that is the background, here is my dilemma/frustration: This car has consumed 2 qts of oil in this first 1200 miles! There are no leaks. I was told by Ford of course, that "this is normal" I say bullsh*t. Obviously that concerns me, and my frustration lies with the fact that I cannot install the Whipple until this is resolved as if I have to (worst case) get a replacement engine installed, I cannot do the warranty gig after the blower is installed. So I am on hold.
Who out there had a similar oil consumption issue and did it resolve itself or not. I know the Vodoo engines are having this issue, but there does not seem to be any complaints about the Coyote in general.
I have multiple vehicles with two of them having over 150000 miles and 20 years of age. None of them consume oil.
Thanks in advance for any advice/experience!
