I'll just assume that the guys who have to tighten the screws up on their properly installed splitters are suffering from operator error?... Heaven forbid the vibration these cars suffer from wouldnt contribute to a screw backing out...

That is an oxymoron. If they were properly installed and torqued its not operator error, not really sure why you are harping on that.

If the extra vibration is enough to make the splitter come loose then we should see most of the car falling apart at some time, I guess time will tell!

This is a self imposed (operator error) crisis and drama.

Advice has been offered. I wonder if you can delete your own thread and make the whole thing go away like it never happened? Give that a whirl... that would be my next bit of advice

I'm still curious why you think thread-locker isn't going to help. IIRC, The j-clips have a fairly thick threaded portion, like 3/16" or 1/4" thick. The only caveat being by the time you coerce the splitter on to the fascia, and the 45-degree screws up in to the hole, the thread-locker will probably have dried. :/

^^^^This guy is the resident expert on this subject. I thought my splitter was A-OK and then one day I took the car for one heck of a drive and my splitter was subsequently pulled down off the front bumper. I don't think vibrations caused my 4 screws to come loose, but instead, they were never installed.

Take it away Steve :D

It certainly would not hurt, but yes you are right it might be all gone by the time you get the damn screw in.

You asked a question and lots of people gave you intelligent replies. You are the one who turned this into a circus and its own form of entertainment.

You post something on a forum, people chime in with viable advice and help, and you dismiss them.

My initial response to this thread was intended to be helpful, so was my second. You wouldn't have anything to do with that, so why not have some fun.

Best wishes with your compounded issue. :)
