After doing the Forscan EQ disable, I'm looking to replace the speakers in my 2019 GT 9 speaker system. Does anyone know if the 3 speakers on the driver/passenger side have a crossover somewhere? If theres no crossover module, are the frequencies going to the tweeter/mid/low driver filtered at the speaker level? Just wondering if its feasable to just put coaxial in the mid and low driver spots.

There is no passive crossover network. The DSP amp does the dividing of frequencies, sending low frequencies to the door mid-bass and high frequencies to the mid-range and tweeter which are wired in parallel. There is a small capacitor on the back of the tweeter forming a 1st order filter.
The only good place for a coaxial is the midrange location. But you must unplug the a-pillar tweeter. Leave the 6.5" mid-bass in the door as-is or replace it with a better mid-bass but don't use a coaxial there as there are no high frequencies reaching this driver.

I was going to start a new thread but decided to post here since it seemed relevant to the OP's post. I'm in the process of installing some components. Local shop sold me these speakers for the door/a-pillar:

Pictured below is the mid-range and the tweeter (6.5" is already in the car) and I'm not sure what the other piece would be called. Is it a filter? Crossover? Alpine box just says Network. Anyway, all I'm doing is a modest (hopefully) upgrade of the speakers, nothing else (except a sub when I'm done this step). My question is, do I need to connect this piece inline with the tweeter, or just leave it out, since as you say, the amp already sends the appropriate frequencies to each speaker?

Yes, it’s a basic crossover.

So, yes, install it? I'm confused as to where, since it came in the package with the 6.5 and tweeter. The wiring diagram I've seen shows the woofer connected separately from the tweeter/mid-range, which are connected in parallel.
Since I'm a novice when it comes to car stereo wiring, just install it in the a-pillar in front of the tweeter?

Dont know. I usually recommend to rewire the tweeter with new wires, so in your case put the crossover wherever it fits.

random, thinking about signals and wires and all that coming through amps and such. is mind blowing. like, how the hell does it work. I just think of electricity flowing into a box, and then it separates the electricity into other elecitry and makes diff noises.

im a simpleton. blows my mind technology. I need to live in the Egyptian times with my comprehension
