Especially since they’re built on the very same line as North American version, the fact that front parking sensors aren’t available for North American Mustangs (let alone rear ones for GT500s) despite being standard equipment for Europe always has frustrated me. It’s not like North American Mustangs don’t have long hoods and tons of front aero that’s as easy to smash as it is expensive to replace.

Of course, plenty of aftermarket products can do the trick. But it’s equally frustrating to settle for less than OE fit, finish and functionality when the original actually exists - albeit not at home.

The hardware is easy. Parts are parts. The real challenge is integrating them with the rest of the vehicle electronics and control modules to work as seamlessly as if they were installed before leaving Flat Rock. Is anyone familiar enough with the electronics and control modules to know how to program them accordingly? Are the control modules themselves different?

It’s one of the few topics about which very little information or documentation is available online. It must exist, or someone must know, somewhere. I’d appreciate any relevant insight.

This topic has been discussed over the years as many of us had an interest in doing this. Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge, a OEM solution was never found.

You see, that’s what irks me. Actually, a solution does exist - installed in every S500 chassis destined for European export.

I’ve no idea who the person may be, but someone at the Blue Oval knows the distinction and what distinguishes one from the other. I wish I knew their extension. 🤦🏻‍♂️

As an S550 owner in Europe, I truly wish you were right. But unfortunately no Mustangs exist with front parking sensors anywhere in the world, AFAIK.
The Mach-E has it, but not any of the combustible engine Mustangs. (Even the bumper is not prepared for it, not in the export models either.)
It's possible to buy aftermarket solutions, including from Ford Accessories, but they won't be integrated to the Sync screen and requires custom drilling not just in the bumper but also in the interior.

There's a few threads on this and from them I know of at least one US based retailer selling a front camera setup that integrates into the sync3 screen, think it's from a truck but it does all wire in neatly. Also in euro land and Australia selling a similar kit. As said above, there are OEM Ford parking sensors available for front fitting that need drilling into the bumper but AFAIK they are audio only which is still better than nothing.

I can confirm, to my knowledge no EU Mustang come with front sensors.

2022 EU model and ... no front sensors. I was told by the dealer they have already installed them together with a front camera and it should word automatically with SYNC3, but no idea what brand and how-to-install. As my wifi will drive the Horse occasionally ... well :-)

Well based on this 2017 thread that might not be right.

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/front-parking-sensors.77588/

Edit: This thread is UK based, not EU.
Wait a second, that's not an OEM solution but something that the dealer installed from what looks like a Ford accessory line available in the UK (perhaps it's also available here, I don't know).
It taps onto existing lines so it's not something designed specifically for the Mustang, it's a third party product.

One may be happy with that, but the OP was asking for something OEM that sadly does not exist.
I would also like that to exist, so I'll just be more careful and add 20% safety margin when maneuvering. Or deploying wife to check.
