front bumper removal any gotchas

I wanted to know if there are any gotcha surprises or tips, from those that have done it, on removal without damaging it or the paint. I have a pdf of the basic steps.

I had to pull pretty hard on the sides to get them out of the plastic retainer

Some shop 'pulled pretty hard' when removing mine and broke the tabs on the sides...
