Nah, RB is already taken. It will always mean Red Bull. The little team will have to get its own acronym. Maybe rb? 😁

Hello; Perez in a new Cadillac Team? I do not see the benefit. He had a few years to come to grips with the RB. A few good races but commonly several steps behind Max. I likely have heard all the excuses for the disparity. The RB is built around Max and the like. Now Max is better, so far, this year than the new RB driver. We will soon see if Tsunoda can come to grips with the grown-up car.

Lawson was not without experience and I do not have a grasp on his problems. The more common excuse is the lack of real seat time at speed in the car. I do recall some about why they cut the teams back but not all that much. Something about cost reduction so the lesser teams had a more even chance. How did that work out?

Seems to me starting out with Perez is a step on the wrong foot.

Webber brands Perez a 'magician' after Lawson's tough Red Bull tenure
Hello; One of my notions has been it is more the car than the drivers. That most top drivers can do well in a better car and not do much in an inferior car. Such a notion has played true over the decades. The races often finished with the one car brand finishing 1st & 2nd. Then another brand 3rd & 4th. Then another 5th & 6th barring some sort of incident. There were seasons where we knew a MB was going to finish 1st & 2nd. Go back a decade or few it was almost always Ferrari 1st &2n and so on.
What Webber is saying has me rethinking my assumptions to an extent. That Max may actually be just that much better than the other top drivers has to be considered. Gotta, admit it has rarely been the RB cars back to back at a finish. I await Tsunoda's efforts.

I agree with you on Perez at Cadillac. Yes he’s experienced, but does he have what it takes at a new team? I doubt it. But… he does come with significant sponsorship… money talks.
Maybe the discussions about having an American talent in the second seat points to an experienced race winner who won’t overshadow a new American driver… or maybe I’m being cynical.🤨

Hello; Just finished watching qualifying (Japan) from a recording. Max seems to have put a fourth or fifth place car on the pole. Did not expect such.

Agreed. Hell of a lap. Shame for yuki, not sure they’ll reasoning behind a used set at the start of q2 when max had new tyres on. And the grass fire ruined his momentum. Right with max in q1 was impressive.

Yuki did better than Lawson would have. Yuki has more fire in him than Lawson.
