Pretty good final race of the season. Congrats to McLaren for the constructors championship. Let’s see what 2025 can bring.

Agreed James. An exciting year and an excellent final race. Even dumb-dumb couldn't ruin it for McLaren (although he gave it his best shot). A shame for VB, hoped he would finish in the points. Same for K-Mag. I will miss them both. Charles and Lewis' runs were epic. Looking forward to 2025.

Hello; Gotta admit the anti-Max bias is strong in this thread and among the commentators on the Tv channel i must use. Calling max dumb- dumb for the collision is interesting. Max already was champion, and RB was too far back for the constructors' points to matter. The McLaren driver had something to lose and indeed did lose big time.
Not clear what squeezing Max down in that corner was supposed to accomplish other than what did happen. Max was all the way to the inside of the track with his left wheels on the rumble strips. True enough he did not get his front tire forward to the magic point and so got a penalty per the rules. So, who came off the worst in the deal?
Does anyone familiar with the races expect drivers, especially Max and Lewis, to not try to pass each other? Piastri (sp) is one of the elite drivers and somehow was not to give racing room in the first few curves of a start. I knew Max was to go for it before the lights went out. On top of that it appears the McLarens were the faster cars this last race. What is the old saying? You cannot win a race on the first lap but you sure can lose it.

But I understand and so does Max. His comment during the race about why not ask for a twenty second penalty was on point. I watched the bicycle racer, Peter Sagan, get the same sort of treatment from officials. A difference being the racer commentators took his side when he was stripped of vital sprint points. Looks like some of you will never forgive Max for winning that championship you feel should have been for Lewis.

Where is that same energy when Lewis did the same thing to Max in Silverstone, and you swear somehow it's all Lewis fault yet here you state this is Piastri's fault... Yet Max went and apologized to him and admitted many times he messed up.

You can take the orange cock out your mouth anytime now...........

I blocked @sk47 years ago but your last comment made me look. I should have known, another post from left field. Putting the block back on!

By the way, I’m glad he apologized but he’s still a dumb dumb. There was no need to dive bomb a car that was in the hunt for a championship. That’s just sportsmanship. And his in car comment about the 20 second penalty was just Max being Max, no filter, ever.

Hello; Both of you appear to have missed the point again. By the rules as applied this race the first lap incident was determined to be on Max. In another race such first lap incidents have been determined to be "racing incidents" with a reasoning being the stewards do not call things so close in the first few corners. These desperate passing attempts will continue from most of the drivers because the start is where lots of places can be made up.
But if you are satisfied with painting Max the bad guy and can overlook the outcome of Piastre's move then continue. Note I did not write that Piastri was at fault, more that not giving Max some room was detrimental to his race results. Which it was.
Consider the potential outcome of if both drivers had raced clean thru that curve. Piastri likely in the some better car for the day. But even if he was behind Max his finish would have been better than it actually was, barring other dumb moves. But Piastri made another dumb move while running last and got a 10 second P on his own. Mclaren got the constructors title from the efforts of the other driver. No help from Piastri.

One other thing. Max and perhaps all the drivers want to win every race they are in. Kinda dumb to expect any driver to not try to win if a title is out of reach. If any driver has the skill and a good car they will go for it.

To Gixxerman, your orange cock comment was vulgar and incorrect. Reminded me of the vulgar challenged squealers who used to be on the CB radios back in the day. A big mouth from a safe position. I am not a Max fanboy. My favorite driver is Alonzo but even so I do not blindly dismiss his faults the way you two do for Lewis.
Speaking of weak moves. Putting someone on ignore in this forum is a really weak one.

Internet is about brevity. Better: And how do you know it's color?

Hello; I was refering to a comment from gixxerman.
You can take the orange cock out your mouth anytime now...
Best guess is Gixxerman was going by the orange flags and such which show up in support of Max during his races. Orange being a Dutch color I think.
Next and very unlikely guess being Gixxerman is bragging about a personal interaction and knows the color from experience.
Perhaps because I am from TN?
Kidding aside I get what the Gixxerman was doing. Trying to imply I do for Max what he and the other guy do for Lewis.

So, by your post there‘s a time and a place for a dive bomb… Interesting. As for dumb dumb, pretty interesting take on a guy with four titles. From the constant disparaging remarks I’m assuming you feel you’re superior to Verstappen in most areas. Please do tell you’re accomplishments… Tell me again what happened with Piastri in the race yesterday and the penalty.. I‘m not a fan of Hamilton, but I’ll never take anything away from his ability’s or his accomplishments in an F1 car. And the last thing I’d ever do is refer to him as a dumb dumb. I’ll leave the complete fucking hypocrisy about sportsmanship coming out of an outfit run by Wolf. The guy and organization is about as much of a backdoor sancho as there ever was. Nothing about it is sportsmanshiplike. As for the constructors, good for McLaren, but lets be completely honest here. The only reason they won it and Ferarri was second was because Perez had an absolutely disastrous year. You previously stated RedBull basically did Ricardo dirty. A complete crock. I’d say Redbull and Horner were about as forgiving as anyone has every been in F1 toward a driver. Giving Perez a new contract considering what his lack of performance is/was, is a massive understatement considering the cost to Redbull.

I have never disparaged Max’s talent nor race skills. its always been about his attitude. This past weekend race is proof of that. The move on Oscar was dumb. Max had nothing to prove, nowhere to go. But he had to drive into a car that was battling for a championship in turn one. Even he admitted wrong doing. That part showed his sportsmanship. I’d like too see more.

As far as Lewis, he too has dumb things. He’s a racer and like all the greats does things they later regret. But their attitudes are 180 degrees apart.

I totally agree with you on the constructor’s championship. I just don’t get it. Perez is no Senna but he is a top tier driver. And in a top tier car. His results are a mystery to me.

And one correction. Max has “won” three championships. He was “given” a forth on a silver platter. 🤣😂👍

Hello; Most seasons the team cars run close to each other, baring accidents, finishing within a place or two. This season was an anomaly for RB. So many times, Max outperformed his teammate by a large margin. To be clearer, what I refer to is how so many times team A has finished 1&2, then team B finishes 3&4, then team C finish 5&6 and so on. We tend to expect both cars of a team to have about the same race pace most of the time.
I read and hear various explanations for the wide difference with Perez & Max. This has upset my world view a bit. I tend to want to think it is the car more than a driver which matters in F1 racing. But I reluctantly begin to suspect Max is a better driver than the RB is a car. The race in the rain where he came from way back to win being perhaps the best example.

Bikeman will not see this as he has me on ignore, but calling Max dumb-dumb for an attempted pass is in fact disparaging his race skills. No matter I suppose. His views on max are colored by that "silver platter" championship thinking.
