Lewis and he traded paint. Unfortunately for Checo, it rubbed thru the sidepod and floor.

Lewis received a 5 second penalty for it. Pretty close call on a penalty. But it was Lewis who slid into Checo. They were side by side in a turn inches apart with Lewis on the inside. It looked like they barely touched. Other than the damage/penalty was great racing.

Stewards have to call it as they see it, but that seems a lot like a no-fault racing incident--shared fault. Also, Perez already had problems with rear grip before the contact, which contributed. Tough track, tough conditions, tough drivers. Will be a particularly good race.

I didn’t agree with the penalty to Hamilton there at all. Purely racing and conditions.

1. I did look at the entire video, as well as the entire race, and am watching the main race live right now.

2. When contact is made, both drifted into each other. Hamilton understeered slightly (a hair), but the angle of his wheel made it clear that he was keeping to the inside line and leaving space for the outside car--no doubt whatsoever from my perspective.

3. If by the end you mean the near second contact, he was backing out and had more pace than Perez, which caused him to back out even further.

4. For anyone who commented "he's back," I assume they respect the athlete and what he's achieved and hope he will rise to that level again. Same goes for supporting Perez. Either way, that has nothing to do with me.

5. Note--my post was not addressed to anyone in particular. It was simply part of the ongoing discussion. So, I would tell you what you could do with your "carry on," but instead, I won't make a conversation about F1 personal, despite your desire to do so.

Hello; Yeah I have brought up the idea of having six feet tall and under basketball leagues among acquaintances. The idea being all those tall tree types have come to dominate the courts. Even being tall is not enough anymore, being tall with great mass is the new standard. Folks six feet and under can play good ball, they just have to work at it different. Not so easy to just dunk the ball.

But I get it. The TV cameras kept showing the midfield competition during the last race. Hey without max and RB the MB might have a chance again.

Pretty sure people say this anytime someone dominates. Truth is that viewership has never been better...and the events all seem to sell out even at the ridiculous ticket prices.
