Well that was a fun race. Unless the stupid ass stewards screw it up.
Hello; I agree with the stewards may screw with things.

If it ever comes down the which races get cut, I will include Singapore on the cut list along with Monaco.

Unfortunately this is the Max of old. He has certainly matured over the past few years but a tiger cannot change its stripes. He expects perfection and this is what happens when he doesn't get it.

So did they miss calculate the amount of fuel in Max's car, which seems unlikely, or did they do it on purpose to get a better qualifying time? Another Red Bull conspiracy! :cwl:
As much as I'd love to pick on Max this was obviously a case where he unexpectedly got another lap in...think he crossed the line with a few seconds to spare.

All of the teams fuel for the laps they expect and 1 liter for the FIA.

As to the cap breach we will have to see what transpires but it has to hurt or it is meaningless. The two major options (that will never happen of course) are to deduct driver and constructor points or even total disqualification for the season. Max won by 8 points (thanks to Masi!) and MB already won the constructors...so unless they are going to deduct enough points from Max to change the result it would also be meaningless.

Agreed. But just like the equipment penalties that penalize the drivers I think this would be unfair to Max. I also do not think Lewis would want a championship this way. If Red Bull is found to have cheated penalize the team, harshly, but not the drivers.

Pretty sure Lewis would take it just fine as he knows he was cheated out of it anyways. 😂 Would certainly make 2022 less stressful.

That was a epic drive by Checo. Especially at the end where he had to keep Charles behind and increase his lead to more than 5 seconds because he was looking at a possible 5 second penalty.

Horner says they are disputing 5 conclusions that if they lost all would result in a penalty of less than $10m. BUT if they win just 2 of the 5 they would be in full compliance. His words hint at it coming down to a situation similar to blown diffusers and other interpreations. In other words, for 5 numbers Red Bull believes they are inside the rules even if not ways the authors may have intended.

Make no mistake, Hamilton and Wolff would for sure take a win or championship by any means they deem necessary dirty or not. Hamilton is the same guy last year when they penalized Verstappen for not seeing a safety yellow, that he himself(Hamilton) said there was no way Max could have seen it then. Then promptly turned and said isn’t that a penalty. Then there’s the ten second penalty for punting Verstappen and possibly causing serious harm and benefiting from it by a win and no points for Verstappen. This bs about Hamilton losing the championship because of Masi is over and over is crap. It’s crybaby nonsense. Nothing new. Now its about spending caps. Mercedes in particular should start changing there feminine products weekly and focus on there cars lack of competitive performance.

Hamilton’s performance is sub par to say the least this year. Or it could be said this is his true level when he’s not in a dominant car. It’s an either or scenario regardless.

He is past his prime. Interestingly, he is supposedly about to sign a new 5 year contract.

I don’t think he’s past his prime perse, maybe some of the hunger is gone but that’s understandable. He’s one of the best without a doubt. I’d be surprised if he’s in the car next year honestly. I really can’t blame him if he goes that route unless the performance of the car comes up.

Hamilton and Max are both the best in the business. Neither would ever come close to victories in cars that were not competitive as that is just the way it is in F1.

Cars being equal they both have that little bit extra that results in literally tenths of seconds per lap. Those tenths are what wins poles and races. You can also see their skills on display when rain hits the track. They just have that little bit of extra feel for grip levels.

I do not believe it is either. Lewis is far from the end of his competitive career. Mercedes just got the car all wrong from the get go. As a fan it sucks but it happens to all teams at one point or another. Go ahead and put Max in that car and he would be nowhere.

As far as the cap controversy, that's not on Mercedes. This was an ongoing FIA investigation that was leaked. It was them Mercedes and Ferrari jumped on it. Red Bull would have done the exact same thing had the shoe been on the other foot. If in fact this did happen I hope they punish RB severely but leave Max alone. He won in 2021 and that's that. I've been over it for a long time now.

Mercedes(Wolff) is hiding behind the FIA and his personal attorney that he inserted in to the FIA. Its not fooling anybody, nor is the “leaks”. As for Hamilton and the car, Russel isn’t having the same issue’s.

Lewis IMO isn't that good of a driver. There's other 'factors' involved here pertaining to his 'success'.
