Yeah , straight from the horses mouth on the update . He said end of “next week “ on 12/28 so hoping anytime now .
I had been pestering Dustin for a “race gas “ tune before that . Hoping making “ flight control”available for the hand held will help .(on the GT it was used to retard timing )

Currently 3.75, currently Whipple tuned.

Re-read, its says this years mods. I own but have not installed the 3.125 pulley, and plan on having it custom tuned for the extra boost and MS109
If you go to a smaller pulley for more boost won't you need to do internals? I am getting my Whipple installed next month and am doing the OPG and CS. That's for just 9psi to go higher would risk the engine or so I have been told.

Its a crapshoot, I don't think anyone has documented proof of where these things fail under boost from what I have seen. FatFab has pushed them up to and over 1000hp with stock internals. Plus there are a handful in the social media dyno wars running the 3.125 and smaller pushing past 920hp on E85 and racegas. So Im not opposed to building an engine for this car, but I'm pretty positive these things are still safe above 850-900rwhp if the calibration and fuel are dialed in.

Glad to know this. I feel better about getting my Whipple next month!!

Right on. I think a lot of people STILL to this day think just because the engine is eccentric that it's not strong. The one big Voodoo failure with FI that sticks out in my mind is one that JPC racing had in and it was because of a poorly calibrated tune.

I remember reading somewhere about tune issues with the whipple. Can’t remember if it was partial throttle or what. Everyone with the whipple, no issues with the stock tune that comes with the whipple?

I was leaning towards pro charger just because I don’t like the idea of messing with the engine mounts and also it has less torque so figured it was the safer route.

Any way to actually run a LARGER pulley to make less power but still keep the pretty powerband?

Return fuel system I assume ?
They(Lund) told me they prefer the ID1300's but that they would tune for E85 with a BAP on "low" boost.
I am thinking of dropping a pulley size to 3.625 and running race gas to see if I am happy there.

Stock fuel system with a JMS BAP

Really?
How long ago did they tune this?
I already have a dual VMP BAP(uninstalled) but they seemed to be discouraging running E85 on a BAP and were insisting on ID1300's which are $$$.
My Car made 750 whp with the whipple tune but I really think the sweet spot would mid 800's.
If I can get there on race gas I may not even bother with E85. Whipple had stated they would coming out with a new tune/firmware update that would be able to take advantage of race gas as current tune does not.
I had a lund flex tune on the car when it was still NA so only going to be $400 to get a FI tune from them

Of course it would be much cheaper if could get away with E85/BAP even if I have to step up to ID 1050's.

Yes, you get to retain the strut to firewall bracing but the strut to strut cross section wont clear the supercharger in its stock location. Ive seen a guy on youtube that retained his by using custom spacers to get it to clear the blower and is still able to close the hood.

I do not see the spacers on the car or packing list, and I didn't order anything other than the gen 3 supercharger kit for this car so maybe its leftover info from the last gen blower kit that was made to fit from the standard Coyote kit?

This is directly from Whipples description for the GT350 specific kit

-Fits under factory hood with no modifications
-No internal modifications required
-Completed installation looks factory installed, not some cobbled together kit with multiple billet adapters

What pulley are you running and are you on pump or e85? I test drove a gt350 on Friday and it wasn’t listed that it was supercharged. I kinda feel in love with the thing but a 3.5” pulley on a whippeled voodoo seems like a bottom end build should be budgeted.

Currently have the 3.75 pulley installed. Lately I’ve been running VP MS109, but if I’m going on a cruise or using the car a lot I’ll run 93 with the Snow Meth kit. I’ve been boosted for about 8500+ miles now with no issues at all. 790rwhp to 835rwhp depending on which dyno you ask. I go through a lot of cars but I’m absolutely in love with this combo.

Does your car have any bucking in lower rpms ? The one I was looking at has a gen2 2.9 with a 3.5 pulley on pump and when I got stuck in traffic on the test drive I could feel what I think was the bypass valve closing. Feels like at part throttle the car jumps from 30hp to 90 and can’t decide where it wants to be. I can’t tell if it was a bad tune or if that’s just something you live with on a positive displacement supercharger.

Yeah nothing like that on mine at all, mine drives like its stock under 4k rpms and less than 50% pedal. Id assume its tune related.
