  1. Stand Alone and/or Traction Control Options

Thanks for the reply guys. The factory traction control can be pretty aggressive with the way it cuts power. Nobody knows of any standalone ECUs people are running like the AEM infinity for example?
  2. Stand Alone and/or Traction Control Options

I’ve been thinking about a procharger for my 18 GT350 but realized I’m going to probably need some good traction control options. It seems Cobb only makes products for the factory forced induction vehicles. Back in the day Racelogic was a company that made a good product where you can dial...
  3. JL Stealthbox Install - Tips and Tricks

I think the two speakers in the back deck are 2 way instead of 1 way like in the 9 (they count those as two more speakers from what I understand) The sub is one of the 12 yes and leaves lots to be desired from what I’ve read. I haven’t really stuck my head in the rear so not sure if the two...
  4. JL Stealthbox Install - Tips and Tricks

I’m pretty picky with sound and with the tweaks I mentioned above I’m pretty happy with it. I have the 9 speaker so now 9+1 Some extra mids and highs from the rear wouldn’t hurt but not worth the effort or cost IMO.
  5. JL Stealthbox Install - Tips and Tricks

Definitely worth it definitely would do it again. Obviously stealthboxes are much more expensive for me it was worth it to keep it clean and retain trunk space. I ended up keeping the bass/mid/treble settings in the middle (default position) on the headunit and kept the gain on the amp around...
  6. Stereo Information (Wiring, Upgrades, etc...)

My 18 GT350 is 9 speakers. 2 in each door and 1 at the pillar, 1 in the dash, and two in the back deck which likely act as mid bass. Strange there is no cutout on the speaker deck in the back to “let sound through” to the cabin. I actually found a harshness to the 2-3k range that my ears are...
  7. Forgot to show you guys, Whippled GT350 Fun and Sounds

I remember reading somewhere about tune issues with the whipple. Can’t remember if it was partial throttle or what. Everyone with the whipple, no issues with the stock tune that comes with the whipple? I was leaning towards pro charger just because I don’t like the idea of messing with the...
  8. JL Stealthbox Install - Tips and Tricks

Just wanted to post an update in case anyone would find the info useful. I was able to successfully take the signal pre amp from the drivers kick panel. The smallest connector was where I took the pre amp signal which was coming directly from the HU I tapped into the front left and right...
  9. Stereo Information (Wiring, Upgrades, etc...)

Yea I remember reading about the engine sound over the speakers. Trust me even BMW does that and I’m not a fan either. I know there are threads possibly even this one about how to remove that, do some searching. If I recall it’s only for the 4cyl turbo mustangs. Adding an aftermarket radio...
  10. Stereo Information (Wiring, Upgrades, etc...)

Makes sense if you had it already. Let us know how it sounds when you finish
  11. Stereo Information (Wiring, Upgrades, etc...)

Yea the stock mids and highs sound pretty good actually (9 speaker premium?) I definitely don’t want any sound processing being done for the sub I’m adding which should be the case if I grab the signal before the amp which is where I assumed the additional sound processing is being done. That...
  12. Stereo Information (Wiring, Upgrades, etc...)

I can’t get much a reply either. Not sure how your product differs from mine (JL Audio LoC-22) or the purpose of the parrot you are talking about. I had planned on taking full range signal post HU pre amp behind the drivers kick panel. I read somewhere this is where you can find the preamp full...
  13. Stereo Information (Wiring, Upgrades, etc...)

no suggestions for my earlier post?? I have to decide where I’m stealing the signal from for the JL Audio LoC-22. I assumed grabbing a full range signal pre amp(at the drivers kick panel?) would be the best signal to steal from and let the JL jx250 amp do the job of cutting out the upper...
  14. JL Stealthbox Install - Tips and Tricks

Ok thanks for the info. I’ll be messing with my setup soon enough. Just need to decide where I’m getting the signal from.
  15. Stereo Information (Wiring, Upgrades, etc...)

Great info here. Recently purchased an 18 GT350 with the 9 speaker audio system (no stock sub). Just purchased the JL stealth box for 15 and up mustangs, a JL jx250, and a JL Audio LoC-22. I have to decide where I’m stealing the signal from for the JL Audio LoC-22. Does anyone know what...
  16. JL Stealthbox Install - Tips and Tricks

Ah, that explains my confusion. Thanks for the input. I don’t know for sure but I think grabbing it at the back deck isn’t a full range signal and also has bass roll off at higher volumes? The JL Audio JX250 amp I’m looking at has high level inputs so I may not even need a LOC or a line driver...
  17. JL Stealthbox Install - Tips and Tricks

So you are getting the signal for your LOC at the back speaker deck? You had said in your original post “My car is a premium so I decided to go the route of grabbing signals pre-amp. It was easy enough to get to in the drivers foot well“ I had assumed you were getting signal there at the...
  18. JL Stealthbox Install - Tips and Tricks

That second picture is really close to showing me what I need. Are you at the driver side kick panel or drivers door?? If I knew what specific harness and colored wires to steal signal from... Did you have diagram so you knew where to get the preamp signals right from the HU?
  19. JL Stealthbox Install - Tips and Tricks

Most good amps have high level inputs correct? Wouldn’t I just need to tap into a full range signal pre amp right from the headunit and run it straight to an external amp for a sub? I didn’t see exactly where you were getting that signal from
