Can't find much at all from searches but a little explanation for those of you that have no idea what I'm talking about.

I program/code BMW vehicles as a side job...by using BMW software I do things like windows up with the keyfob, dvd playback while driving, removing the annoying seatbelt chime(much worse in a bmw than our mustang), deleting amber running lights they used to have, programming rear lights to come on while driving, etc. I can do stuff like replace the newer version navigation into the old cars(for example I could put the equivalent to sync 3 in a sync 1/2 equipped car and program it to work).

these are all basically options in different ECU's that are defined from the factory, but turned off that I turn on, and vice versa.

does ford have anything like this?? there are some features I would like to turn on for myself and other locals but have no idea what software ford uses at the dealership to do this kind of thing, and if anyone has hacked copies of it or not.

i want - rear taillights on as daytime running lights, car auto lock when walking away from the car, and to really see what options are possible inside the ford ecu...maybe even help pave the way for sync 3 in sync 2 cars

anyone got any info to share?

Why would you want to remove the seatbelt chime? Anyone who drives without their seatbelt is just a driving darwin award.
many people have told me their use is for moving around in a parking garage, going to check the mail 50 ft away at a common mail box, etc.

also setting a ladies purse in the passenger seat will start making the chime go off, so many women have me disable just the passenger seat chime.

Not everyone that wants to disable the chime is DA eligible. ... Most are harness wearers at the track, not using the stock belt....

 Oh well.. I drive around my parking garage without a belt on after having to get my wallet out, and the 30 seconds it takes me to find a spot the belt warning never goes on, and if it did I don't think it would annoy me *that* much.

That is an excellent point!

the one in bmw comes on as soon as your start moving and is a very constant loud noise for about 2-3 minutes and then it keeps coming back.

anyways,i really just want to be able to turn on rear lights as daytime running lights...this ELMConfig might be the solution

edit: nvm looks like its never been used on a mustang, even past generations -_-

ECU reporogramming could be the solution for us europeans who want our mustangs to be more 'american'. We have sequential taillights disabled, drl in fog lights, no always-lit front turning lights, no honk on lock\unlock and so no.
I'm trying to rewire some lights but mod it in ECU would be a niftier solution.

On the Focus ST forums, FoCCCus was pretty big, you could do some of the global functions that weren't available like window control with the key fob and DRL

Because every time you open the door on a Ford, it sounds like you're in a damn casino. I don't need an annoying reminder to put my seatbelt on, I've been doing it for over 30 years.
