There will be significant hardware changes for Sync 4 so I doubt wireless Carplay will be ported back to Sync 3.4

Probably enough of a significant difference to sync 3 hardware, that it will be almost impossible to retrofit to earlier cars, as it may well entail the replacement of several hardware modules as well as soft/firmware in several other different ecu's.

A bit like it is almost impossible to retrofit remote start from key fobs to earlier cars.

Have they fixed the USB bug yet? Or is it still present in 20136?

No but they have in 20196 which we will get at a later date
