However in the event of selling your best chance to maximise your target audience and hence sale price is to appeal to the non-enthusiast, who will be more inclined to be impressed by a full dealer service history ;)
It's a bit like a post some months ago where someone suggested they would buy seat covers to protect the leather. Why? For the next owner? We buy the cars for our own pleasure and selling on is for another day. If you are happier using an independent specialist then that's the route to take imo.

So would I, but I'm at least 80 miles from the nearest Mustang specialist and about 500 from GT101 ;)

You may not trust Ford servicing and might be right but ultimately if you resell the vehicle anything other than Full Ford service history will affect residuals dramatically, especially on a car like the Mustang
Have only ever used Dealers when i had to, found them a total con.
With the Mustang Modurstang and Customs Exotics are 2 companies who get so much praise, from so many different people
The thing i Love about Modurstang is you can watch Mike and Lee and ask the most stupid questions, they are massive Mustang nuts, and it's worth the 200 mile round trip.
As for CE Scott and Brett are the nuts, and really care about their work, I had my bumper done on the S197, they machine polished the whole car and even fixed the mirror, and I never even knew it was loose. Now that service you would not get from a regular Ford dealer
