the parts would be very cool... thank you. I would like to see how its made and where the upgrades are going in.

there is something nice about using the OEM shifter.

Yeah I only think time will tell if the price is worth it. I do like that it's an official FRPP part and makes it easier that my local Ford dealer is the one that is installing it for me. I don't have any experience with the Barton or MGW shifter so I won't have any on-hand comparisons, but imo anything is an upgrade to the stock shifter :)

I haven't had mine installed yet (just got it) but the specs show it's compatible with both:

Features and Benefits:
- Quiet with NO Increase in NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness)
- Maintains Factory Pull-up Style Reverse Lockout
- Approximately 19% Reduction In Throw
- Retains Back-up Camera Functionality
- Increased Driver Feel and Feedback
- Compatible with Factory Shift Knob
- Requires Some Assembly
- Includes All Necessary Hardware and Installation Instructions
Thank you. I need to give this some thought. I was looking at the Barton and MGW and I'm not 100% sure. Both those units are nice and I know MGW makes a nice product just having a hard time with the price tags on those units.

Have you gotten a price quote on the labor cost? I'm finding that Ford service departments like to exaggerate the time required to do a job in order to hike up the price. They apparently need us to fund their many smoke breaks.

Not yet as I plan on calling today...after seeing the parts in the package (i'll post a pic shortly) it doesn't seem to me like it would be a super labor intensive job....but I can definitely see what you mean by them overestimating time and labor. They charged me $250 to have my catbacks installed....

As requested....not alot to it, but then again I didn't expect this to be on par with Barton or MGW.

Do you think you could have made the picture a bit smaller? lol

On a serious note, what's in the bottom left corner. I can't tell.

LOL I'm sorry guys, just got the same response to a small pic I posted another thread. I'm not a very forum savvy person lol. I just take a pic on my phone, to my email account, over to tinypic, then onto the forum. I'm sure there's a better way than I'm doing it, obviously lol.

As for what that is, I'm not sure myself as there was no part sheet or printed instructions.....just a small slip that gave me a web link to the install directions on Ford's SVT site.

Speaking of, my Ford dealer told me I'd be better off having it installed at a local speed shop that has experience in this kind of thing and doing "custom" work on Mustangs....classic LOL.

Anyone know some good shops in northern/central NJ?

Wow, that looks similar to the Steeda shifter I just had installed in my car. Look forward to hearing your impressions after install.

Will let you know for certain. Can I ask if you had it installed and how much it cost you to do so?

I had it installed, I was charged $180. Took them a little over an hour to do it.

Also, seeing this is similar to your Steeda setup, do you like it? Did it make for a nice shifting experience? Better than stock I'm sure....
