Any chance it would make my bov louder?
Yes, its louder than stock. I guess I think its so quiet because I went from mishimoto to FP. In terms of BOV loudness, mishimoto is 8.5/10, FP is 4.5/10, stock is 1.5/10. Thats my opinion.

If you mean louder than stock, yes. Actually the BPV doesn't get louder, going from the stock closed intake box to the GT350 open intake box makes it so you can hear the BPV more when it releases.
I have the turbo smart bov. Any chance the bov would cause problems with the tune?

I can't answer that. That would have to come from FRPP and TurboSmart. The fact that it's a BOV rather than a BPV venting to atmosphere vs being recirculated will not impact anything on a US ecoboost or any other using a MAP rather than a MAF for air metering. It is mechanical rather than controlled by the ECU so my guess is that FRPP wouldn't approve. I'd also guess that TurboSmart might say theirs is better than the stock even in that environment and will hold the boost better. You'd have to talk to them though.

Yeah, you're right, I missed that and it makes more sense. If the file name was the same, it would have overwritten the first one. Mine are just a little different, BZA/BZB instead of CBA/CBB.

GR3A-SEMM2A-BZA_MyVIN_07d5.pc3 7.726 MB
GR3A-SEMM2A-BZB_MyVIN_07d5.pc3 10.557 MB

I have no idea what the difference is, maybe trim? Mine is a 15 Premium with PP, Auto, 50 Yr AP.
Both of mine are CBB...both the one I downloaded and the one present in the dir after they supposedly did the tune. The new one is larger, tho.

That's correct because yours was just tuned with the latest tune, CBB. Some of us had a older version of the tune that showed as file name CBA or in my case BZA.

When we went in and downloaded the tune file, it would be the new version, CBB or mine was BZB and it was the smaller file size. After they install the tune on the car, it's the same CBB/BZB file name only a larger file because it now includes the stock tune in the file.

Makes sense!

I'm reviewing the dash cam footage from inside the service bay and I can hear him programming it correctly. :)

Are we able to use the adapter for anything other than loading the tunes? i.e. ForScan or any diagnostic purposes

Unfortunately not for ForScan, I tried that before I bought an adapter specifically to use ForScan. It's possible it might work with another app like Torque (Android) or OBD Fusion (iPhone) but I didn't bother to try since I now have 3 adapters if you count the one from FRPP.

I've had 1 bluetooth adapter for a while now that I really like, Kiwi 3 but it doesn't work in ForScan. There is always talk about support for it on the ForScan forums and hope yet it still doesn't work. That would have been my preference since it would work on my PC and on my iPhone. Then I figured I use that with my iPhone for data logging and to display/monitor info. If I want to use ForScan, I HAVE to use the PC so I bought a cheap $15 adapter from eBay that is USB connected and it works great just for that. So I have 3 adapters that I use for different things.

So had the dealer install the FP tune today and just like what i've read here the difference was immediately felt. Now the car just move when you go, felt like someone unhooked the boat trailer from the car, lol. It doesn't feel like it's straining to get moving anymore. Best way to describe it is like driving in sport mode while in normal mode. Haven't tried sport mode or really got on it yet but just having the instant throttle response is a great start.

Yeah it may not be as fast as a pro-tune but it really wakes the car up. IMO its how it should have come out of the factory.

Yes you're right. Now it fees like a normal car and not straining. From a stop in normal mode before the tune it was ridiculous how you need to take it to past 3.5 k rpms just to get moving in a somewhat decent pace and not get left by everybody on the road, lol.Ford should come out with a PCM update for all EB's to mirror this mapping.

Yeah, I remember taking off from lights and feeling like I had to absolutely floor it to even keep up with normal family sedans.

I'll bet this calibration becomes stock when the V8 is updated for more power next year.
