The kit I’ve bought is allegedly a UK kit, and was sourced from a franchised dealer, it’s just all the literature that is clearly aimed for the US market. If for any reason it doesn’t work, then I’m covered.

It’s not worth the risk trying a kit from a US dealer. I guess what ford could do is allocate a batch of voucher codes to export vehicles and not bother reprinting the literature just to save a bit of money.

Anyway, I’ll be trying it out tonight so

You have made the right decision, I set FPP2 two weeks ago and it has been very easy. If you need any help don't hesitate to ask .

It's just PP1 I have, as the low end torque was of most interest to me and therefore couldn't really justify the extra cost for PP2.

I'll let you know how I get on!

Already seen it. It was pretty much that review, plus people’s experiences on this forum, that ultimately led me to the decision to buy. I’m interested especially to see how it runs in comparison to the SCT tune I tried previously

I'm struggling with the install. Followed the instructions (which led me to fhrdracingparts.com/register). Put my details in, downloaded the Procal3 Software, got the details from my vehicle by plugging in, went to download the calibration file - but it will not validate! - it says 'gateway not found' and displays some numbers from the label on the pro cal tool (which I have plugged into the laptop)

@pacomicro, did you do your calibration yourself or go to a ford dealer?

I had mine done at the dealer here in the US. Seems like you should give them a call or use their chat feature on ford performance website, they probably need to unlock something on their side of it ?
Good luck with the process and report back!

Have you called the Ford Performance tech line? It looks like a server issue on their end.

I did the installation myself.

You must make sure that the OBD2 Port is connected correctly, sometimes it looks good, but push it hard.

Then you open the calibration program on the pc and then connect the usb to the pc.

That’s really helpful, thanks. I’ll have to try again tomorrow. Did your voucher look the same? i.e. with the US performance tech line (800) phone number? And registering on the US fordracingparts.com website? I did get a message saying “there was a problem sending the confirmation email” when I first registered. But that was before I put the voucher code in and everything seemed to go fine after that until I tried to download the calibration file!

My coupon is the same, just change the reference number below, but mine is Pack 2.

Take your time and concentrate on the job, do all the steps and it has to go well.

I think you said you bought the pack from an official Ford dealer, didn't you?,

Let us know how your progress is going

Well I tried again this morning, this time attempted to download with the vehicle connected to the laptop via the ProCal tool, thinking maybe it needs all the vehicle details in the header, rather than just the fields in the download page.

Got the same message again!

Having read other threads about the Power Packs, I'm beginning to think the dongle is faulty. There is a blinking green light when it is connected to the laptop, then whenever the ProCal software is opened it flashes like mad in all different colours and places. I don't know if this indicates anything?

I'm expecting the support from Ford UK to be even worse than Ford US, so I'm not expecting a resolution any time soon!

Just for info, here's some screen shots from this morning in case anybody spots anything obvious I'm doing wrong.

I'm going with PP2 as well. PP3 is expensive and more suited for track use. There are companys that sell all 3 below retail. I think PP2 is cost effective, bad news is still waiting for 18/19 CAFE certification to sell any. I had ford tunes on my 2013 and definetly wakes up low and mid range driveability. And yes, gas mileage starts with the right foot!

I see all the right data, maybe it's dongle problem, bad luck.

I would try to eliminate the software Procal3 of the pc, to restart the pc and to return to begin again following the instructions exactly, the pc must be connected to the OBD2 and the ignition of the car "ON".

There are indeed two flashing lights, one blue and one green.

I would try to talk to Ford Performance in the USA, the rest I think is wasting time.
