Sync and infotainment skew things sure but I highly doubt even 35% of the complaints are infotainment. Let's not go off the deep end in denial, it looks bad even when you try to factor sync out. Having said that I had zero issues with my 2013 Fusion (base stereo) in 33K miles. I do agree though that they need 2 ratings now -- infotainment/gadgets & reliability.

Well being that all the experts here keep telling me there's something wrong with my car because they can "easily" get 20+ mpg in the city even driving "hard" I will ask that they do a diagnostic see if anything is out of the ordinary and thus I don't want any bs concerning them pointing the finger at me suspecting an aftermarket tune or something, especially since my car is stock.
I don't know who told you that, but in LA I only do city driving mostly and at best I see 16mpg. 18 on a good day lol.

You should always be wary of anecdotal data.

Edit: Based on Fuelly.com, the average is all over the map but around 23-24 overall (for Ecoboost Premium). Basically it is a bimodal distribution with two centers, one around 20MPG (probably mostly city drivers) and another around 24MPG (probably mostly highway drivers)

http://www.fuelly.com/car/ford/mustang/2015?engineconfig_id=&bodytype_id=&submodel_id=73702

To get more correct, I can say that I get 24-25MPG on the highway, and that is correct. But as soon as I leave the highway (or get caught in traffic on anything other than a downhill), that number drops significantly and fast. So true, while cruising it is 24MPG on the highway (flat or mostly flat) as soon as I mix a stop for coffee, the store, a few stop lights, it is more accurate to say that I average between 20 and 21 with the mix (probably about 35-40% off-highway and 60-65% highway).

" The Blue Oval has suffered in recent years due to its problematic Sync infotainment system "

These guys can build some of the best performance cars in the world, but for some reason can't get entertainment systems right.
Here is the problem. Sync is awesome. But it has a 2 week learning curve. They send these surveys out days after you take delivery of the car. Many people have not learned their Sync systems yet, and rate it low out of frustration.

I am now on my 3rd ford car with sync 2 (my ford touch). cars #2 and #3 were bought partially because of how great of an experience I had with sync and MFT in car #1.

Send the same survey out to people 6 months later, and you will have far better results.

JD Power is complete garbage.
Yep. how do you trust an "award" you have to pay for to di$play.

Seriously. JD power will approach companies and say, we would like to give your car an award for "best car of 2015" You have to pay JD Power $250k for the rights to use our award for 12 months. If you agree, send us a check.

What a croc.

I kind of agree with JD but not because of sync. My company drives a fleet of 2014 f150 EBs. Just in my region of about 80 trucks, we have had 5 complete brake failures (mine being one of them), 8 boost sensor/controller failures, and 1 engine failure. Thats only the list of overnight stays. There have been more bugs that i can count with small wiring and suspension issues. Keep in mind all of these trucks are under 70k miles.

I specifically opted against MyFordTouch having had it in my /13 Ford Edge that I traded out of for the 'Stang. That thing was a bug infested hunk O shat, no way I wanted all that touch screen garbage in another car.
