2019 Ford Ranger Raptor Revealed With 210HP Turbodiesel Power

2019-ford-ranger-raptor-1-1.jpg

Say hello to the new Ford Ranger Raptor, an off-road-ready version of the pickup truck that slots under the popular F-150 Raptor.

However we still don’t know if the Blue Oval will bring it stateside, with the company just saying that “the Ranger Raptor is set to turn heads throughout Asia Pacific and around the world”.

I would think the biggest market for that truck would be stateside. You know we have all those paved roads where you need Fox suspension and 35" offroad tires. It will be good to see everybody rolling coal with a Ranger now instead of just the F250s. I cant see that truck having a 210hp diesel in it especially when the base engine is gonna be the 2.7L Ecoboost with over 300hp.

The 2.7L EB V6 would be a likely candidate for the US version...

Diesel would make for a great rock crawler with 369 torque, and good mpg to boot.

I would consider this as a replacement for my 4runner in two or three more years.

This is what I've been hearing as well. That motor with the 10-speed would do great in this truck.

It's one thing to have a lame little turbo 4 cylinder in the base Ranger, but to have a 4 or 6 in the version that's supposed to be cool and powerful? Yuck.

Road and Track interview with Hamidi. He says WE get the F150 Raptor, and everwhere else gets the Ranger Raptor.

Kind-of upsetting. I didn't like the size of the 17 raptor, so I got rid of it, rather quickly.
I'm in the hunt for a midsize truck again, and it looks like I'll be forced to get another Tacoma.
Where the heck is the Bronco anyway? Wasn't it going to be at the 2018 NAIAS?

Too bad our government won't allow the diesel in the US I would definitely buy this truck with a diesel and a manual transmission!
