O.k. lets set the record straight. Turbos are not unlimited. Housing size is limited even in Turbo apps especially under the car.

Most people who make these types of threads never end up seeing 1K rwhp.

OP, pic what you like to look at and what kind of power delivery you want.

Anything on the market is capable of 1500rwhp, we will see how the TVS 2650 does, so choose what you want.

I'm throwing in the odd man out vote for Paxton with the tiny pulley & E85.

Most guys in this page are Whipple guys. If you go S/C I would do the Roush. Awesome power combined with the most important part of FI...............Stability. Whipple are problematic for the most part. Centrifugals rip crank shafts apart and no power til upper RPMs. Thats all.

^^^ This was a solid lol.

My vote is Paxton best bang for the buck with the sales & packages Terry offers at Beefcake Racing it's hard to beat for the money. You can have FI with almost enough cash left over for supporting mods to have a soild 9 sec daily driver.
If your wanting faster than mid 9 & plan to build the motor my vote would BoostWorks or LPF whichever was cheaper at the time of purchase.

??? Im at 600whp and 557tq at 5500RPM and over 520whp/450tq at 4500..thats on 93...I wouldn't say that is "high in the RPMs."

Ok. I feel like I need to chime in, before someone reads this thread and gets mis information. Forums are bad for this.

For ANY setup where an additional pulley is mounted...yes, you are essentially adding some side load pressure, but I think it's negligible at most of our power levels.

I believe that these crank issues from people that have good ~700 - 800whp cars, are because of these things:

- too tight of belt tension, increasing side load pressure
- over revving
- banging down 2-3 gears on the highway from 6th and doing roll races....stabbing and chopping the throttle....

*Downshift...reeeeee.....downshift....reeeeeeeeeeeeee..... downshift.....REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-chop the throttle at 5.5k rpm and honk my horn three fucking times-REEEEEEEEEE----------REEEEEEE-------oh god im racing!...bang from 3rd to 4th flatfooted, pinging off that limiter.

Centrifugals don't hurt crankshafts, terrible drivers do.

I feel bad for anyone who reads this guy's posts and takes them as even 1% truth. It would be dangerous...

My recommendation would be twin turbos, specifically Boost Works. I haven't received my kit yet, but on paper it seems like the best way to go.

LPF twin turbo Kit is my recommendation .

My brand new 2017 GT Premium Automatic LPF twin turbo build was just completed last Friday. Build details: LPF twin turbo kit, Sai LiFull return Fuel system, ID 1050x injectors, Billet oil pump & timing gears, Drive shaft shop Aluminum drive shaft, Eboost 2 boost controller, BMR rear suspension components. Tuned by the master Rob Shoemaker.
Check out the Video of the final tuning & Dyno session. Car is a total beast!!

Whipple is very proactive to fix any issues whether it is installation related or not. They have by far the best support of any of them. Power potential is also greater with the Whipple when compared to the roush.
It's up for debate of course but I believe all the broken cranks have been from improper balancer installation. Their has been no proof or consistency to show otherwise.
If you buy a Whipple you definitely will need support. Why? Because there are so many issues with them. I could of bought a Whipple but went Roush after all the issues. Hands down the most DEPENDABLE blower and really helps crank out the power.

^^^^:lol:^^^^ Centrifugals definitely put a bit much stress on the crank. I stayed away from them for this reason. There was thread about this not to long ago of it happening and destroying heads and engine. So be careful what info. you spread. It is way to common for me. And you are telling drivers to baby the car. LOLOLOL Yea ok.

If you've never owned a Whipple how do you know they have issues ? The only issue some people had was belt squeal which was rectified with a new billet tensioner which was supplied for FREE by Whipple. It's ok to have your own opinion but don't make facts out of shit you read on the internet unless you have personal experience with it.

it has an engine!
I kept waiting for someone to tell him how it really is. I'm tired of being one of the few to get dirty around here most of the time.
