Lost one of my FOB’s for 2020 Mustang GT. Called the dealer, 200.00 for oem replacement and 250.00 to program.
Any other suggestions much appreciated.

Wtf $250 to program? I used to work at a dealer and it takes less than 30 minutes to do it, we charged a half hour for the techs time and it was $70 I think.

If you have another dealer somewhat close to you I'd check with them

I have ordered many keys from https://www.keylessentryremotefob.com/ over the years. Pretty much every key has arrived in a like-new state... no complaints or issues ever. I've also had zero hassle returning/exchanging keys when I bought the wrong kind. I highly recommend them.

As far as programming, if you have one primary key and a Windows laptop (w/ internet), the licensed version of Forscan can program an additional key. The sequence takes a few tries of putting the original key in the key spot under the cup holder, then the new one, etc. I would watch some Youtube videos of people programming secondary keys (the 2 in hand, Ford way) so you can see how the sequence works and how quick you need to be.

If you are a member of Costco, I see these guys at the stores every few weeks: https://www.costco.com/car-keys-express.html

As for a replacement FOB I've ordered Mustang Fobs (w/Mustang on back)off e hay unprogramed and dealer will cut the key for extra ~$20 by just sending a good picture of your exsting cut key or if you have the key code they can use that I've ordered several FOB's and they all programed and 4 keys cut that all work. He gives a guarantee on the key cuts and FOB's but you will still need to program.

PS I got two FOB's and programed both and they work but I have twoorginal ones.

His prices have gone up but for the fob https://www.ebay.com/itm/2260551837...KHPAKT&hash=item34a1f05da1:g:DYMAAOSwNoVlbgla I only paid ~$50 cutting service is the same.might do a search pand find them cheaper but I went with him for the key cutting service, go to sellers other items and search his items I think he has a usd one for $10 cheaper. You can also do a e bay search for 2020 mustang key fobs and find other sellers

for the key cutting service https://www.ebay.com/itm/324208712053

sellers name is SFobsinc
NOTE I have nothing to do with him I just bought from him, he also ships fast fob and key cutting I receives in a couple days but remember you need to program it as I said I had both original fobs and now two spares.

My recent key fob story: had my key fob and other pocket contents resting on a deployed horizontal trailer door. Overly tight door cables and a gust of wind slammed the door closed, pinching /crushing the key fob in the door jam.

The electronics within the fob were destroyed; the physical key in the fob was not harmed. Used the center console socket procedure to get home.

Next day went to local Ford dealer to inquire about buying a new fob. The parts lady told me a new fob, programming, and key cutting would cost $600. That was high enough to keep me from telling her I did not need the key cutting.

Purchased a new fob from bravo-auto on eBay (2 fobs for $39). No Mustang logo on the new fob, but otherwise it is identical to the originals. Took one of those fobs to a local locksmith and had it programmed for $101. The process took 15 minutes. Placed the undamaged key from the smashed fob in the new fob.

Saved some money. Good to go.

Seems like dealers always give the "we don't want to be bothered" price...
A good mobile locksmith can usually do everything, provide the fob, program and cut the physical key. Prices can vary though.
