From every video I have seen this system is quite, almost no SC whine. Is that an accurate description or do you have a fair amount of whine?
I had a GT500 so 550 has to have the blower whine when I bolt one on. Please give me your feedback!

All the new twin screw, top mounted S/C's are fairly quiet (especially inside the car).

Got to go with a whipple if you want the whine lol. My clutch was slipping in the video. Windows are up.

Thxs, I was leaning that way (whipple) but it's about a grand more. Maybe I can get a discount code from a vendor? I need to break my motor in and do the OPG and I will be ready for the boost!

Evo, what rear tires are you running? How long did the clutch last before slipping?

The stock clutch was fine when I took it out. I thought that since the stock clutch held up the I would just get a aftermarket clutch that was just a little stronger than the stock. That was a big mistake. An ACT HD clutch is a joke lol.

Mcleod RXT is the only way to go.

I now have Nitto NT555Rs for my DD.

Why not vmp? They whine a bit. The reason more and more superchargers are getting quieter is because they're become more efficient. The whine is from the gears. At least this is what Kenne bell told me.

The gears can have some noise, however the whine you here is from the rotor pulses as they exit the discharge port of the supercharger case. Twin screw compressors like Whipple or Kenne Bell produce more whine than the roots style like Roush, TVS, Ford Racing and Edlebrock which is the Eaton 2.3L.
