I came across this picture today and had to post. I took this picture in high school. It's my buddy's new at the time '92 LX 5.0 getting serious air. Wish I would have had a better camera. This picture still makes me laugh.

Wow - that car, that color, the two dudes freeze frame in the air, along with what their wearing....looks like a shot out of a "make a run for the border" commercial from those days...

Three tacos for 79 cents, and a seven layer burrito for 99 cents, It will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine...

Anyway, aside from that picture absolute reeking of early 90s-ness...how much damage to that Mustang? Also, what was that car's ultimate fate if the actions in the photo didn't do it in?

Ha ha great question Earl. Other than a crack in the windshield the car wasn't hurt. At least as far as we know. It still drove straight and seemed fine. Shortly after the picture was taken the car was repossessed. The owner knew it was coming so we had some fun with it before it disappeared forever.

I had another buddy who jumped his Audi on the same hill and totaled it. It was a sunroof car and when he got back to the house the roof was buckled in all around the sun roof and the doors wouldn't close. The landing bent the Audi like a banana.

I have a '74 Trans Am and let another buddy drive it and he smashed my headers and the floor pan on the same hill.

That hill is on E320 in Grove, Oklahoma still launching cars to this day.

I said high school above but now that I think about it was my early college days.

Great pic. I had a '92 LX 5.0 (midnight blue). I don't recall that color in the pic. Almost looks like teal. Unless it's actual emerald green. Either way, great memory.
